Le Hasaar

We had the Moule frit menu last night and for €15 it was excellent value; 1kg of moules per person in a lovely setting beside the Bio pool watching the wagtails swooping low.The proprieters, a young couple, were very helpful, polite and attentive which is not always the case in the most visited country in the world. We'll be recommending Le Hasaar to our friends.

La Cagette

La Cagette is slightly off the beaten path in Le Monetier - les Bains, but easy enough to find.We had lunch there - as the only guests - and it was fabulous. Modern decor, attractive menu and wine list. Food is very good and significantly above the usual - rich - Alpine fare.Excellent value for money and friendly service. Will return.

L'Etage

Odd one this. Mixed atmosphere. Friendly, but disinterested service. Busy, but tables carefully kept for regulars. There are pictures on the tourist menu. It’s almost like two restaurants in one. Avoid the non- Hautes-Alpes classics, which are a little mean and landed quickly, but badly with all of us. Go for the generous looking pierrade and cook yourself happy; Wife loved her crepe, deserts otherwise functional. We could have been regulars, but disappointed, will carry on down to the foot of the gargoyle from now on.

La Taniere Serre Chevalier

Reviewed By frenchkisses

We usually eat here if we are in serre chevalier, but the last time the guy (the waiter)was in a bad mood maybe or it was his natural attitude towards clients..I ordered for myself and my husband, but he said I should order my husband food if he is there , when he arrive because my husband left us to do 1 more round of ski which will take like 30 minutes or less.Ok we ordered for me and my son but it took them more or less an hour to bring us our order, my husband was already there starving and our food was just arrived and looking at us eating and asked where is my food? so I needed to tell him what happened of course. So for me don't annoy a hungry man because he will not comeback to your restaurant anymore.Luckily I asked the waitress if i could order for my husband it wasn't a problem for her she took the order, how I was wish she was the one who took our order first so I shouldn't write a negative review hère.Anyway hubby got his meal after 30 minutes.
