Dublin Village Tavern

Where locals gather and visitors are always welcome! A quaint Irish Pub located in the heart of Historic Dublin. Serving unique and standard Irish fare. Great selection of Irish beers and whiskies.

The Dublin Village Tavern looks small from the outside and the inside … and small it is. I suggest getting there early, because it is an enjoyable place. Dublin, Ohio, depicts itself as an Irish town. Although this is obviously not true, the Village Tavern does a good job of creating an Irish pub atmosphere. The food and beer are very good, and it is simply a comfortable place to enjoy a summer afternoon and early dinner.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

I’ve been to several BJ’s but first stop in Columbus- Polaris. The menus are the same as is the beer list. Service was acceptable considered that our girl was breaking in a new server. Problems came with what was served. Our party ordered a range from ribs to burgers to tacos & fish and chips. Ribs were praised while the rest was just average. An odd combination was one order of fries too hot to eat served along with an order of sweet potato fries actually cold to the touch. To the Kitchen’s credit, they did seat a YMCA group of about 30; and had prepared a buffet table to feed the group within minutes. When our server did return, the fries were discussed. She offered a dessert which could not be finished by the four people working on it. It was delicious.

This is an awesome tapas and drinks place that opened up about a year ago. The only negative that I can say is that it was difficult to find. Fortunately, the reviews pointed us in the right direction. You have to go from the porch of Natalie's pizza down some steps to get here. It's a small place and all the tables were taken when we arrived, so we sat at the bar. We liked everything. The food, the drinks, and the ambience. The staff was super as well! I got the caipirinha and my wife got the cross legged snake. Both were delicious. The cross legged snake came in a funky looking cup (see pics) and had an unusual (but excellent) mix of spices in it. It worked well. For appetizer we ordered their samosa spring rolls. Two big samosas with a chutney on the side to die for! We got the Singapore noodles with shrimp and scallops -- oh man, they were my favorite -- a serious dose of spice, so not for the faint of heart -- but amazing flavors! The bbq ribs were excellent as well -- fall of the bone tender and the bbq sauce on them was delicious as well. This is a small restaurant. So if you have a large party, you may have to wait a while, but for couples or a few friends, it's perfect. I recommend it highly! 5 stars all the way!

From one wing fanatic to another, don’t bother - Fresh...yes...but, served cold, flavorless, & breaded disappointments! Although a friendly staff, this is your standard sports bar atmosphere, with bright lights and shiny TV’s. Should’ve followed my gut feeling and continued to pass this place during my travels.

The Crafty Pint

Reviewed By ViktorTrue

I had a great solo dinner at the Lucky Pint. The staff was awesome - very friendly and hustling all around. I went with the waiter-recommended half-chicken and I ordered some grits with goat cheese on the side. The chicken was out of this world! Moist on the inside with wonderfully crispy skin and a great little sauce over the top - it was absolutely fantastic. The grits were the opposite - unfortunately, they were just about flavorless, as if the kitchen totally forgot any seasonings. There were some very small crumbles of goat cheese on top of the grits, but if you're looking for cheesy grits then there should be some cheese in those things, you know? So, this was one of those rare times when a dish left a table because it just wasn't right at all. The chicken, however, was the star - completely great. However, this is a small place, so they're going to run out of stuff - maybe the dessert you want won't be available, maybe the entrée you were looking for won't be available. Come prepared for that. One thing I didn't see them running out of - beer. While I didn't partake in any with my meal, they had a ton of crafty options. All in all, great place - easy access, and wonderful staff. Did I mention the chicken?

the Pizza and wings are absolutely better than average! I especially enjoyed the special in-house sauce on the wings. It's like a creamy ranch, only way better. The pizzas can be customized and they all taste really delicious. It's the crust, or the ingredients or everything. This is a very lively place, though a bit loud, but it's ok if you are hanging out with friends and want to be loud.
