Cozinha Rural P`ra Gente Urbana
We went to this restaurant on a holiday season (Christmas and New Year) which means that we had to book in advance. The restaurant makes you feel like at home. About the food, without any doubt it was delicious. One dish is enough for 2 persons. We also drank "vinho verde tinto" which I have to say it complemented quite well the food we ordered.I highly recommend this place.Dear Nirali,Thank you for those words. It's a pleasure receiving comments like your's.We hope see you on your next visit to Braga. All the best for this new year.. Velhos Tempos Team

Great location, food and drink good quality but service slow and forgetful. Starters: the âcaldo verdeâ was too gelatinous, the clams little taste and sandy, but the âpapas Sarrabulhoâ were very tasty and the main dish, grilled roballo fish, was superb. Downside: the wine was very expensive for extremely skimpy glasses. Obrigada pela visita. Os pratos do IGNÃCIO são todos confecionados na hora para que sejam mais saborosos.

Alma d'Eça aimed, from the very beginning, to be a differentiated project. This differentiation, actually, rests on several dimensions. In this logic, we advanced to the choice, reconversion and requalification, signed by Architect Nuno Capela, of a build
I ate at their outside terrace for dinner on the only night I spent in Braga. The outdoor terrace is right next to the Jardim de Santa Barbara and has a very relaxed atmosphere. Waiters are friendly and quick to serve (generally....) and the food really was excellent: I had a cod dish which was, frankly, spectacular. Good quality fish, in reasonable quantity. It is actually a somewhat unusual combination of "traditional Portuguese" cuisine, and Sushi! I had a salad starter, then the fish AND a desert, with wine and a licor to finish off with, so the final price of around 45 euros was probably about right, a touch on the high-side maybe.I would definitly return and recommend it.

A wonderful local Portuguese restaurant. Lovely staff, delicious food and wine, and remarkable value. We had booked which was lucky, because even on a Tuesday evening the restaurant was full of locals. The (optional) covert/starter was delicious, particularly the octopus which was amazing. For mains we shared Duck Rice (1 portion) Bachalau á Braga (1/2 portion), and Carapauzinhos (1/2 portion) between four of us - all were excellent (and so large, any full portion would probably have been enough for three of us to share). We drank the house red which was very soft and palatable and remarkable value. The local ambience was wonderful, and the bill at the end of the evening incredibly modest. An amazing evening in an amazing restaurant.

Three menu options with two price options, but sometimes too much choice can be a burden. Iâm not vegetarian myself (my partner is) but this was the best vegetarian food I have ever had out at a restaurant. Very high quality ingredients, very reasonably priced (Could definitely charge more),free infused tea, beer well priced too. We stumbled across this place by accident and were so glad we did. Would loved to have stayed longer for desert but had to travel onwards speedily.

Situated just outside Braga, near the chapel of St. Frutuoso of Visigothic Montélios, this space is where the art of cooking and hospitality are always present. Restaurant with more than 30 years, a landmark in the city, bleached so original, presents an

Just had a dinner with a large group T Retrokitchen. We had several starters, all excellent. These were followed by steak and potatoes, rice and curried seafood, and duck. A group of 16 and every dish was perfect. Not a complaint in the group. Would come on my own without a second thought. Highly recommended if you are liking for something very good but perhaps not traditional Portugese.

Very cozy and comfortable environment with friendly and professional service. The chef served our delicious food. Simple ingredients of olive oil garlic and salt on a perfectly cooked filet mignon and little baked potatoes and side veggies. Delicious 2015 Douro wine "Duas Quintas". Delicious desert as well and Delta premium coffee. Yes...delicious indeed.

We went to Tabuas and Portuguese tapas were phenomenal - very competent and friendly team.Saquinhos de camarao (little baskets with shrimp - deep fried), montadinho de cavala fumada (light smoked white fish on top of red pepper and black toast), pork cheeks with grelos (seasonal greens), mini octopus seasoned with herbs and pimentoes were awesome.Worth the visit on a rainy night.Five stars!Kudos Tabuas!
