Just love this place and have eaten here with a group of girlfriends for dinner and, on a few occasions, as a pre-theatre treat. They have great food options and cater extremely well for non-meat eaters and all dishes are very tasty. The staff are fabulous and always ready to answer any questions and/or offer great menu choices.They are aware of people being under a time-constraint if dining before a show and we cannot wait for our next Opera House performance and returning to the Spice Room for dinner first.Make sure you book as always very busy.

I've been a regular and long time customer for the better part of 6yrs.This is largely due to the consistent high quality of their dishes. Vindaloo and Pepper Chicken are my go to dishes that have never once failed to meet my expectations! Not once. When takeaway is ordered the food is always hot, size is great and deliver on time or earlier than expected. Thoroughly enjoyed the food at the Malabar and the attention and service by the staff was great. We ordered the Samosas, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and the Korma along with rice and roti, all of which was very tasty. In addition the restaurant was not very noisy so our group could easily can on a conversation. Will be making a return visit next time in Sydney.

In our recent trip, after sick of eating all continental food, thought we will treat ourselves to a good Indian place. This place was our pick. When we reached , we were nervous as many tables was empty on a Friday eve, but the food did not disappointThere were lot of veg options. Excellent service. Staffs are superfriendly, tandoori mushroom and chicken zalfrezi that I had were to die for. I will surely visit this place again. If someone is searching authentic indian cuisine you must visit thar indian which is in Neutral bay sydney.

Excellent tiny suburban Indian restaurant so booking essential, its as good as its sister restaurant Nilgiri but despite its squishy size itâs quieter and less frantic. Its better than our last visit. Poppadums and pickles are the best anywhere. Veg Tasting menu provides excellent flavours and there was plenty of food. Love the curry and the dosi.Highly reccomended.

I love an Indian meal and was not disappointed with this restaurant. It was busy but service was great and the menu choice excellent. Portion size was just right and the taste and flavour spot on. Next visit to Sydney and we will return!
