We finally were upin Fort Stockton when they were open. Went in for dinner and we both ordered the Abuelo plate (four choices). We chose Chili Relleno, Enchilada, Guadalajara, and Taco with rice and beans. Everything was above average but the Chili Relleno, Guadalajara, and rice (yes, rice!) Really pushed our buttons. Some of the best Mexican food J have had in Texas. Highly Recommended with the caution that the sauces are on the warm side and the green sauce is pretty spicy by most people's standards. We will definiteluy go back.

Stopped in for lunch while passing through Texas. Fajita salad was great. Good service, a little slow, but they say because everything cooked fresh to order. Facility is so-so, but not out of the ordinary, essentially what you would expect it to be for an establishment such as this. Chips and salsa tasty but a bit spicy, smooth salsa, not chunky; rice was good, beans a little thin. I had the Mechejeta de Mexico (or something like that) it was beef, chicken and sausage fajita bowl that was very good, nice size portion too. No problems with English with the staff, by the way. Not much parking, but can park on the street. Very crowded for lunch, it was full.

Everyone has their opinion of what makes great Mexican food, and I have my own opinion. Allow me to make my case: At Alfredo's not only is the food superb, fresh, homemade and made when ordered-even the sauces, but the family who owns the place will come out and make sure that you are comfortable, happy and enjoying the food. And, if there is a problem the entire family will make sure your problem is resolved. That is what has made my experience at Alfredo's the best Mexican food experience. In March of 2017, my family and I traveled from Indiana to Texas and we passed many Mexican restaurants-through Oklahoma, the Texas panhandle, Abilene, Midland, Odessa-and we asked ourselves, "Why waste our times stopping at a Mexican restaurant and being disappointed?" So we just waited until we made it to Alfredo's in Fort Stockton. Eat at Alfredo's, you won't be disappointed. Try the green chile chicken fried steak.
