A small terrace near Utra beach. There is a view to river Pielinen. A staff is friendly and very homely feeling. No spirits, just beer, cider, vine and soft drinks and somethig small to eat, like baguettes. Opening times depending weather. Live music at some evenings.

Cafe Rento is a cosy little outdoor cafe on the side of the river Pielisjoki. They are selling the best ice cream in town and also some smoothies and sandwiches. You can also rent kayaks from this cafe.

I visited Teatteriravintola for lunch over Easter when they were serving brunch. It was nice that the waiter explained what the buffet consisted of and there was also a printed menu on the table. There were enough different cold and hot dishes to choose from and everything was well prepared, fresh and tasty. Amongst my favourites were a salad with moose meat and the sausages. The restaurant has a pleasant decor and a lovely atmosphere. Our waiter was welcoming and helpful.

Nice restaurant which menu changes every two weeks. Had three course menu with fish, meat and cheeses. Good service and good food but something was missing for the price. However, overall a good experience.
