Weâve tried most places locally and can say this is by far the best place for quality cocktails.The other places may seem cheaper but a sugary tasting cocktail that lacks alcohol is what you will get.This place serves quality drinks which are mixed and served as you would expect.I am a bourbon lover and the old fashioned is the best Iâve tasted.The decking area is inviting, comfortable and a great place to people watch.Hi sdykes83Many thanks for this 5* review, is very important for us to have you feedback!!!Hope we can see you again some day here in Symbiosis:)All the best,Symbiosis Team

Having read glowing reviews we took a taxi there. We were very disappointed. Couvert (very plain breads and pate) was very ordinary and at â¬8 each quite expensive. Given complimentary starter but would have preferred to pay the â¬8 for a starter of choice. Main course was average and a couple of items were not available that night.Está a mentir não pagou o couvert ( pão, agua, pate, doce, e queijo da ilha dos Acores ) não pagou nada por tudo isto ! as entradas são 8 euros mas inclui a sobremesa que é oferta ! certo ? a proprietaria.

Great service at this family run restaurant. The chef is amazing!! Best food we ate in the area! Would definitely recommend the seafood kebab and the chicken with mushroom sauce. We came back the next night again! Fab!

A full restaurant is usually a very good sign so we decided to give it a go. The service was very good, the waiters very friendly and helpful. We were less impressed with the food. It wasnât bad as such but quite the meat was quite blend and my fish was very oily. The soup was very good however.

This is a simpe restaurant with a nice terrace and delicious food. The piri piri chicken was great, and garlic grilled prawns divine. We liked it so much we came back again and shared the same meal again :)

This is the third time we have dined at this restaurant, and our two previous reviews gave a very positive account of the experience. This time it is more mixed, but let's begin with the good things. The food is still vey good. My wife was particularly happy with her starter and main course. Her tortellini was one of the best she has ever tasted.My starter of coffee smoked duck was OK, but the slices where so thin they looked like they had been painted on, and one of the main sauces tased like a thicker AI sauce. My main was very tasty, a 14 hour cooked portion of lamb. But there was no real skill here to reflect the price. My dessert was pear tart-this was tarted up (forgive the pun) with a tweel. The tweel tasted dry and bland and the cold pieces of stewed pear were unappealing. Once again my wife way more that happy with her purple chocolate dessert.The service overall was very good, although because we were 9mins early we were asked to wait outside in the corridor. Whoever turns up anywhere exactly on the minute?There is a very good wine list particularly for wines form Portugal. I asked the wine waiter's advice for a Portugese white wine similar to a Burgundian style. He gave us two options and we were allowed to taste both. These were two quite expensive wines-110 and 95 euro respectively, but they were quite good. Now given all the mystique around wine and serving wine, our first glasses were served at an appropriate temperature, but the wine was left in an ice bucket and by the time of the last glass it was too cold and tasted of nothing. The restaurant was half empty surely this could have been avoided by giving the process some attention.Now some of the above may sound a bit picky, but the prices this restaurant charges are the same as other michelin starred restaurants in the area (and above some). For 275 euros for two, I expect much more; more quality, more consistency, more courtesy for customers slightly early, and more attention to the care and delivery of expensive wines.We previously wrote that this restaurant was not ready for a michelin star but that it was getting there, but now it has gone backwards, and I'm afraid we won't be back.Dear Guest,We were devastated to hear that we have failed to meet your expectations; all your valuable inputs have been put forward to the team.We wish nothing more than to be given the opportunity to revert your last review, do advise should you return to EMO in a near future.Life is a journeyMarta Mota Pinto

Just came across this delightful local family restaurant. Tables inside and outside though a few smokers had us moved inside quickly. Lovely meal. Well cooked. Made to feel very welcome. Exceptional value for money including a lovely house red wine. We will be back.

My wife, like many other wives I imagine, has a 'thing' about washrooms in restaurants and I have had to leave a great number in the past owing to them not passing my wifes inspection.XEREM FUSION I am delighted to say past with flying colours and I was therefore allowed to sample some of their delicious food. Whilst they have a number of delighful looking appetizers, the couvert is ample when accompanied by a hearty fillet steak. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and accompanied by a pot of homegrown vegetables and Boulanger potatoes. The desserts were quite simply divine. I enjoyed the creamiest melt-in-the-mouth red berry cheesecake whilst my wife had a deconstructed Lemon meringue pie. With a bottle of Herdade dos Grouse at 17 Euros a bottle, 2 large bottles of fizzy water and 2 glasses of rose wine, the bill for 4 adults came to 120 Euros. VERY REASONABLE INDEED FOR FOOD OF THIS QUALITY. Thank you Restaurant XEREM. We have eaten here before on a previous holiday and our experience this time was just as goodThe food is of excellent quality for the price you pay and there is a good selection of winesWe opted to sit outside on the first floor terrace with sea views and the sound of the busy bars and restaurants close byWe had an enjoyable evening and it will remain on our list of recommendations for future visits to the area
