We visited this place one evening for dinner and ordered the combo 1 box which comes with a burrito, taco and a drink. You choose your main filling, are asked how spicy you'd like it and there's a selection of toppings and sauces you can add. We chose the chicken and I asked for mine to be just a little spicy. We sat and waited while our food was being prepared, I noticed the server put every topping and sauce in our tacos and burritos without asking us which we'd like. The burritos come up tiny ! Smaller than the tacos. We were expecting the traditional burritos that are full to the brim with filling and rolled up tight but this was basically a small soft taco. Mine was also extremely spicy despite me asking for it not to be. The food was ok just not the traditional Mexican you would expect. I'd say this place is ok for a light lunch or snack but definitely not filling enough for an evening meal.

We had trudged up the hill to visit the Abbey, all good, fancied a sit down and a coffee, crossed the square to look at the view of the city and noticed this terraced cafe, good service, coffee and views.

Everybody and their brother's wife's cousin makes chicken down here. Chicken and french fries or Chicken and rice. It also is a sacred evening meal . . . you can only get fried or rotisserie chicken at a select few places during the day time. All that to say, that El Pollo Loco gives us some variety!!! It's still rotisserie chicken, but you can order it grilled too. As in they cook the chicken in the rotisserie, you order the plate, they chop a massive portion of a bird off and proceed to grill it too. It is nice! Also they offer 3 or 4 different sandwich combos which include the rotisserie/grilled chicken. I really appreciate that somebody took the time to take a VERY common meal here in Bolivia and make some simple changes that set them apart from the rest.
