Wonderful stay
Reviewed By nikpostingerThis wonderful colonial house with large gardens is situated in a quiet backstreet of Cochabamba, only 5 minutes from the main plaza. We had a lovely stay here, with Michael the manager able to provide us with plenty of information and sharing his infectious enthusiasm for Bolivia. We were lucky enough to be upgraded too since it was low season, which is always a nice bonus particularly as the room came with a bath – somewhat of a rarity in South America. 10/10 would stay here again!

Our room was hot and noisy. Cost 240Bs The reception staff were friendly but did't know anything about tourist activities in Cochabamba, how to arrange Toro Toro tours or get bus tickets... You are on your own! Don't waste your time at the 'Tourist information office' either!

Reviewed By Gerardo CIf you have a better budget, don’t stay here. This hotel has very basic services and many rooms were not remodeled yet. No restaurant and you must beg to get some room service from the nearby hotel from the same chain if you need some food in your room. However, it is well located close to many restaurants. Breakfast is included in the rate, but is not good. Very basic and if you need other options you need to pay for it. This hotel has to work hard to improve their service to customers.

Reviewed By Andrea GStayed for a week. Staff are friendly and speak a bit of English. Very clean and tidy. Beds comfortable. Pillows hard. Delicious donuts are sold across the street. Breakfast is served every day on the top floor (6th). An assortment of breads, fruits, cheese and scrambled eggs as well as yoguart and freshly squeezed orange juice. They have a water filter in their breakfast kitchen you can use to refill your water bottle.

Great boutique (but not luxury) hotel for business
Reviewed By KipperBlakeleyI have been spending a week per year in Cochabamba, and was delighted when I came across El Prado hotel. While the rooms are nothing to write home about, they're very comfortable after you've been in the field for a day. The pool has no water in it, or at least not when I was there, but they say they'll fill it up during the high season. The service is excellent – the food in the morning was prepared for me early because I mention that I had a meeting before the normal breakfast was put out. That is a huge plus for me. The two women working at reception are extremely friendly, and helped me out with a range of requests from laundry to taxi to arranging a late checkout. All with a huge smile! This is not a luxury business hotel, but I would recommend it for business travelers who are looking for something of a more personal nature during their stay in Cochabamba. You won't be disappointed! I would definitely go back, as I have many times before.

Great modern hotel with friendly staff
Reviewed By Chipmunk987We actually stayed twice in this brand new hotel during our trip through Bolivia. It has a very modern design, spacious rooms and beds. It is located at the 6th floor of the huper mall. The staff is exceptional: very friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. We also tried the restaurant, which serves really good food that includes traditional Bolivian plates but also pasta and burger. Prices at the restaurant were very reasonable. Breakfast is great as well. Free parking in the garage is also a plus. The hotel itself is very quiet, but the streets of Cochabamba are very noisy even by night.

Plenty of room for improvement
Reviewed By travelBerlinWe have visited this place for the international women's day. They had an advertisement that offered an afternoon tea. We have not stayed at the hotel, so we can not comment on the hotel services and accommodations. This review is about the service and offerings of their restaurant. The place is nice. It has a beautiful setting not very easy to find, because it is inside a semi gated community. However, once we found it, we were surprised at the nice setting. The offerings for tea were mediocre, not really something you want to repeat. On the way to the toilette we realized that the owner who was serving the small cakes and pastry, did not consequently used a serving instrument, but used her bare hands to put the pastries on the the trays!. We did not like that. The waiters were running around as if they were very busy or being told to hurry up. Not really very relaxing for guests. In general, this seems to be a family business, who has potential of becoming a good alternative to the main restaurants of the city because of the nice setting. However, plenty of work has to be put to improve the quality of their food offerings, the way of handling it and the service.
