Nothing great about this average traditional Mex-American Restaurant. Our family weekly dinner this time around included our son. Don Jose, has a lively bar area and separate Dining room, all very nice and clean. We ordered 4 Margaritas, less than authentic with a distinct flavor of artificial bottled lime juice & sour to the taste with a hint of Tequila? The best part of my meal was the albondigas soup.My combo plate of 2 taquitos of shredded beef was ok , grilled veggies, better and typical refried beans was smothered unhealthy with jack and cheddar cheese, not good!

We would have given this a MUCH HIGHER SCOREif it weren't for THE LACK OF FRIENDLINESS OF THE PEOPLE WORKING BEHIND THE COUNTER...they act as if EVERY REQUEST IS A PERSONAL IMPOSITION and they CONSTANTLY WEAR A SCOWL ON THEIR FACE as if operating a virtual goldmine wasn't good for them...food is pretty decent and thr crowd is lively and ever flowing...its the bad vibes you get once you hand them the money...

authentic mexican food. like most of the folks in the neighborhood we eat here weekly...whether the kids pop in on the way home from school or I run through the drive-thru for a quick dinner fix...we know know we will be satisfied.

The chips were freshly made and extra large. The salsa was fabulous. My husband ordered the vegetarian burrito, which was as large as the platter it was served on. I had the cheese enchilada and chile relleno combination. The rice and beans were just right. The service was a tad slow, but worth the wait.

We have dined here many times and we have never been disappointed. The salsa and chips are delicious and the fajitas are always terrific! Prices are reasonable, service is very good, and the ambiance is pleasant. If you are looking for a good Mexican food venue, Super Mex is a must!

Being a vegetarian I am always concerned about the choices and the quality of the choices I get. Very pleasantly surprised! They are able to make almost any dish Vegetarian. I had the Street Tacos and they were able to substitute with "Soyrizo" which was delicious! For the most part, soy substitutes are not made well. We had a large group of about 15 friends and family and we got the multiple booths in the back which was perfect for us! My wife had the Burrito bowl and kids had their choices as well. Great food, service and drinks... Additional outdoor area looked quite upbeat. Will be visiting there soon! Cheers!

El Farolito has some of the best Mexican food in orange county CA. The prices are very reasonable as well. Joel was our server and he is fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meal and they were very accommodating in helping us with our birthday cake that we brought.
