Small restaurant,but well worth booking for a meal.Platter of fresh fish brought to the table ,with an explanation of what they were.Food great.Service Portuguese ( they do things at their own pace)Drinks good.Would definitely book here next time we are in the area

8 of us ate here after a recommendation from a local bar owner on previous visit to Burgau. We booked in advance as it is only small (<20 places). 4 of us had the tasting menu and the rest ordered 2 or 3 small plates. Food was delicious and staff attentive and friendly. With plenty of good local wine it cost around 40 Euro per person with tip. Excellent value, first class. We will return on our next visit.

A short walk from Burgau beach is this charming restaurant. Great catch of the day menu, and we were shown each fish prior to ordering to help decide. Lovely appetisers whilst we waited for our main course. Delicious food at great prices. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Great family meal and well taken care of by the staff. Son in law and I shared the Cataplana and had no complaints. The others had fish dishes and similarly enjoyed their meals. Great location overlooking the bay. Go try it out

Had a disappointing meal here to celebrate a elderly relatives birthday recently. We had certain expectations given the website, but the restaurant didnât really stack up to the image presented. There was loud music playing which made it difficult to chat (It was an 89th birthday!) and the restaurant was largely open to the elements which didnât help. The food was ok, with one dish being really good, but the overall service was also disappointing. (Long waits, meals served some time apart etc). The bill was also a surprise as the most expensive meal we had during a 2 week holiday in the area. Sadly, it just wasnât worth that in my book.

We were here all the time when we were in Burgau the last time, 5 years ago, because the pizza was so great. Now when we came back we must say it is still the best pizza in the world!! You can also get nice local wine. If you want to sit outside you will have to come early and also the inside gets full , even on a hot day, which can tell you how good the pizzas are! When we were there there was one boy 10 years old maybe,sitting at the next table with his family and he was banging his knife on the table constantly. The family did nothing and even I could see the marks in the table. Fortunately one of the waiters told him to stop! The rest of the restaurant gave a big sigh of relief then! This is my favourite pizza restaurant in the world!We will be back next time!

Very friendly staff & lovely food. Weâd always thought it looked rather formal, but actually itâs just a case of nice table linen and glasses! Especially nice desserts. Wine reasonably priced too. Importantly; does take cards!This is one of the places to come back to every time weâre in Burgau.

This restaurant is very good with attentive service and great food. You must try the "cataplana" Portuguese dish if you are a fan of seafood. It was moist and flavoursome and truly a highlight of our stay in Burgau.

After waiting 1.5hrs for main course, we enquired if our food was coming- to overhear staff saying what do think this is McDonaldâs?!!!Staff couldnât be bothered. Even when we got the food, chicken piri piri was dry and tough, and sea bass was not good. Chips greasy. So many lovely places so donât go here.
