Local Sri Lankan restaurant in Main Street. Good place for take-away. They have Sri Lankan rice & curry buffet at lunch time, which is very tasty. They also have a very good Kottu and fried rice. The restaurant is popular with the locals.

I went with a friend and ordered salad and a plate of fish and chips. I got soup instead of salad and a bottle of beer which I did not order. My friend who is diabetic was given a warm bottle of coca cola. I was charged 1000 rupees 5.60 US for the beer.I live locally and will never return again.Dear Guest,Thank you for taking your time. A best place to taste real Sri Lankan delicacies. "Simple" Restaurent, Akurala (between Ambalangoda & Hikkaduwa). Already become a tourist place because of lovely food and the service offered by a lovely family. Beautiful environment facing beautiful beach and serene pond lakes of Akurala. Bird watching, sea bath, nature walk and exercise track granted wthin 50feet walk. Dont forget to enjoy the sunset view if you visit in an evening. Reasonable prices and food quality will amaze your taste buds.
