This restaurant is exactly what was missing in the canton for a long time. When entering inside you really think that you just stepped into a new trendy place in London or Dubai. Lovely ambience and interior, with great seating possibilites outside aswell. You do come here though for the food which is mostly meat. The main reason people come here is for the brazilian churassco. The meat selection offers around 10-12 different types of cuts of meat, all cooked really tasty. Salad buffet is not overwhelming, but good and the side dish buffet offers something for everyone.Service is warm and friendly and I'd say the value for money expecially for the churassco is really unbeaten.Highly highly recommended particularly if you had enough of all the same Pizzerias and typical Swiss restaurants in the region!

Whilst some restaurants in Europe can be a little conservative and stodgy, we were really impressed with this one. Fine dining but in a really modern setting with fabulour view over the lake. The waiters were friendly, attentive but not intrusive. The menu had a good range and the food was exciting and well plated on delivery - indeed the presentation of a number of items was exciting when it arrived. All the little things from tablecloths, glassware, crockery smacked of a sharply run venue - more than just a 'hotel restaurant'. The prices were not cheap but not unreasonable compared to other restaurants in the Lucerne region. We had a group of six and were well taken care of. The place was almost full on a Wednesday night, ranging from romantic couples to fours and sixes. If you want good food, excellent service in a modern setting, you would not go wrong here.

Wir hatten nur einen kleinen Hunger und haben uns für Insalata die Pollo und Insalata Colorata entschieden. Die Portionsgrösse war schön und gross. Die Französische Sauce hätte etwas mehr Geschmack haben dürfen und die Italienische Sauce war ewtas zu säuerlich, aber im grossen und ganzen OK. Die Preis/Leistung hat gepasst. Das Ambiente ist wurde vom Vorgänger übernommen und ist daher gleich geblieben. Leider wurde zu wenig Personal angestellt. Die Servicedame ganz alleine und war voll im Stress, hat aber versucht und sich auch mühe gegeben das alle bedient wurden und zufrieden waren. Wir kommen sicher wieder und versuchen die Pizzen aus.

The Grape was a good choice for meeting friends in Weggis. The setup is nice with friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. 4* would be for this setting.The burger I had was not really medium and more cooked than grilled. Sides okay but nothing really outstanding. The amuse-gueule felt like a joke - a few stripes of carot - leave it if you cant do a surprise. My friends seemed to be much happier than I so maybe my critics are a bit harsh but I was probably disappointed that kitchen could not keep up with comfort.
