You probably don't end up here unless you have business in the area but let's take nothing away from Nidair - traditional Swiss menu but food is well made even though nothing special and the service is really eficient. When you sit in the terrace you can enjoy watching Pilatus airplanes taking off from their home airstrip.

We travel to or through Lucerne every couple of years, and the Belvedere has become one of our consistent âfoodieâ stops there since 2013.First appearances here are misleading. The restaurant is located on the ground-floor of an otherwise rather drab-looking apartment building. One could just as easily miss the Belvedere by driving by countless times and never noticing it.But, once inside, one is greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows running the full-length of the dining area providing a full and beautiful view of the lake and mountain scenery. A way to improve that even further is to dine on their large, comfortable terrace, weather-permitting, and to take it all in âal frescoâ. So far we have been lucky on every visit to do just that.Every meal we have had here has been a true delight, from the amuse bouche, to the starters, mains, desserts and drink pairings. That consistency in skill, quality and service has cemented the Belvedereâs standing as a very solid 1-star Michelin establishment for years. Cost- / benefit is also in good balance here. All that is rounded-off by the Belvedereâs relaxed vibe, and they have always made us feel very welcome and well taken care of.We hope and wish that the team there maintain those high standard for many more years to comeâ¦because we would sure miss this restaurant.

The wonderful hosts Gabrielle and Daniel had created a great evening for our global company dinner. Food and wine were so delicious and the atmosphere was warm and familiar. The idea from Gabrielle with "only one bottle of wine" for 45 people was great - it was a 12 litre bottle of fantastic swiss red wine.Dear TinaIt was wonderful hosting your global event. The zum Kreuz is well located - a 10 minute drive from the main north-south (Gotthard) Autobahn in the Engelbergtal - and, in addition to a first class restaurant, offers itself for an overnight stay. The two, however, are qualitatively very different. The restaurant offers first class cuisine in an alpine ambiente with, at this time of year, the special lobster menu the star. Prices are reasonable and accompanied by a warm welcome (by the chef perposnally, his wife and staff) plus a more extensive than usual choice of (good) house wines also reasonably priced. It is understood that the feature menu changes with the seasons and fresh product availability.The overnight accommodation, by contrast, is rather basic - something that is not only reflected in the untouched 60's decor in the en suite bathrooms but also in the modest room prices (breakfast included). One word of advice for potential overnighters: announce your arrival time in advance to ensure there's someone to open the hotel door when yoou arrive. We were accompanied by our dog who was also made to feel very welcome.

Thanks to the Guide Michelin I discovered this charming restaurant, near the beautiful main square of Stans. It offers fantastic food and great service in a relaxed atmosphere.I had lunch on the lovely garden terrace. A huge thumbs-up to the staff (including the tenant herself, Mrs Meier) for providing a friendly and efficient, yet unobstrusive service. The menu prouds itself on regional and seasonal produce. I began with the "summer salad" with goat cheese - a perfect starter on a warm day. As main course I chose the house current recommendation: pan-fried trout fillet in an almond and lemon sauce, served with vegetables. The portion proved generous, the fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. As dessert I had the homemade chocolate mousse: truly to die for!Swiss price level is admittedly very high and Rosenburg makes no exception. Including wine and coffee the bill amounted to CHF98. Definitely not cheap - but the food quality and great service are well worth it.

Had dinner here while we were staying in Wolfenschiessen close by. The Riesenschnitzel is indeed very large and not expensive. Friendly service (for Switzerland). Outside of Stans, you are in the middle of the country with nice views. Outside seating roofed over, so you can be outside even if the weather is not that nice. Good beer.

On our way to Italy we stopped at this nice small hotel and had diner at the restaurant. Very good Cesar salad, beef tartar and especially the Cordon Blue. Friendly nice people

This restaurant, situated at the Stanserhorn summit, offers good food, themed in local delicacies. It is a self-serve, cafeteria style place with lots of options to choose from. They have locally produced wines (we had a Merlot) that pair really well with the food. Acting upon recommendations from our tour guide, we had mac and cheese (really different from what we do in the USA, and much better in my opinion), the veal sausage, and Black Forest cake. Note that they have several seating areas to choose from including the revolving dining room (the busiest and most popular), the standard dining room, and outside seating, weather permitting. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the pricing, which was a bit high for the menu.

Great location, ALLWAYS excellent food, wine and service! Not one single time have our expectations not been fulfilled, and we have been in Mirage quite some times. Also this Saturday when they served the "9 year Mirage" menu did we and our guests had a great evening when just everything worked out like a Swiss watch.

Outside or inside, this place offers something for anyone. Very comfortable in a Swiss themed atmosphere. Excellent gluten free options, along with a variety of cuisines. Never had a meal here that wasnât excellent. Reasonable price for Switzerland with large portions. Try to sit outside by river.
