Incredible views from the outdoor dining area. food quality was 11/10, loved both breakfast and dinner. everything was so tasty and fresh, was a perfect meal. The only reason i gave it 4* is because the service was a bit slow! apart from that fantastic!!

Usual high standard of Migros (pronounced "Migro") restaurant fayre. They generally have a good and wide range of value for money lunches here. You can choose from salads, the grill (bratwurst/meat/fish), in fact up to 10 different lunches, plus a good range of fruit, cakes and deserts, with excellent coffee and teas. Whist slightly expensive by British standards, for Switzerland it represents good value for money and is well cooked and presented. Slightly cheaper than Canada at present. If only British supermarket restaurants were this good. As with many Migros restaurants, there is an beautiful view out over the plain towards the Engelberg valley, up towards the mountains around Titlus, and across towards Bouchs. Many of the staff speak English, just ask, they are usually most obliging. There is an outdoor balcony for sunny days (any season if the sun is shining). There is underground parking for a small charge (OK for 4x4s, SUVs) and the A2 motorway exit is nearby. Good place to stop if travelling north or south to and from Germany and Italy.

The wonderful hosts Gabrielle and Daniel had created a great evening for our global company dinner. Food and wine were so delicious and the atmosphere was warm and familiar. The idea from Gabrielle with "only one bottle of wine" for 45 people was great - it was a 12 litre bottle of fantastic swiss red wine.Dear TinaIt was wonderful hosting your global event. Great asparagus Risotto, great Kalbsleberli. Great Table outside. The Beefsteak Tatar ( hot) was good but the color /texture has changed and we dont like changes on a good dish for many years. The selection of the Linde, as you look around on other tables goes from simple ( budget) to fancy veal. Vine selection and service Is good Three waiting on us was 2 too much though.And one day we will try UPSTAIRS again and the hotel we dont know. I would book blindly if I was needing a room in Stans. Pitty not many tourist see this part of Central Switzerland. Stans is real!

From the appetizer of ravioli in a saffron sauce to the melt in your mouth cow cheeks, this place was a treat. No English menu but good explanations by the wait-staff. There is a wide variety of fish, veal, and pork with pasta, risotto and fresh vegetables.

Thanks to the Guide Michelin I discovered this charming restaurant, near the beautiful main square of Stans. It offers fantastic food and great service in a relaxed atmosphere.I had lunch on the lovely garden terrace. A huge thumbs-up to the staff (including the tenant herself, Mrs Meier) for providing a friendly and efficient, yet unobstrusive service. The menu prouds itself on regional and seasonal produce. I began with the "summer salad" with goat cheese - a perfect starter on a warm day. As main course I chose the house current recommendation: pan-fried trout fillet in an almond and lemon sauce, served with vegetables. The portion proved generous, the fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. As dessert I had the homemade chocolate mousse: truly to die for!Swiss price level is admittedly very high and Rosenburg makes no exception. Including wine and coffee the bill amounted to CHF98. Definitely not cheap - but the food quality and great service are well worth it.

Had dinner here while we were staying in Wolfenschiessen close by. The Riesenschnitzel is indeed very large and not expensive. Friendly service (for Switzerland). Outside of Stans, you are in the middle of the country with nice views. Outside seating roofed over, so you can be outside even if the weather is not that nice. Good beer.

On our way to Italy we stopped at this nice small hotel and had diner at the restaurant. Very good Cesar salad, beef tartar and especially the Cordon Blue. Friendly nice people

This restaurant, situated at the Stanserhorn summit, offers good food, themed in local delicacies. It is a self-serve, cafeteria style place with lots of options to choose from. They have locally produced wines (we had a Merlot) that pair really well with the food. Acting upon recommendations from our tour guide, we had mac and cheese (really different from what we do in the USA, and much better in my opinion), the veal sausage, and Black Forest cake. Note that they have several seating areas to choose from including the revolving dining room (the busiest and most popular), the standard dining room, and outside seating, weather permitting. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the pricing, which was a bit high for the menu.

Outside or inside, this place offers something for anyone. Very comfortable in a Swiss themed atmosphere. Excellent gluten free options, along with a variety of cuisines. Never had a meal here that wasnât excellent. Reasonable price for Switzerland with large portions. Try to sit outside by river.
