This is a former cinema converted into a delightful restaurant with a garden. The service is unpretentious and relaxed.We went there on the recommendation of our hotel. It's slightly out of the main centre of town (5 minutes walk), and so gets less walk-in traffic, but it was so good we went there both nights of our stay. A simple menu, in which all of our choices were exquisite. Perhaps the veal kidneys were a bit too salty.Highly recommended

A good surprise. Selected at random, the food was hand cooked with quality and local ingredients. On the menu, local specialties. The service was also efficient and warm. The only downside is obviously the price. A little more than the average. But the ratio quality / price is still high.

-Location: 4/5 (minimal, but beautiful view of the canyon)-Menu: 3/5 (good selection)-Service: 3/5 (quite organised)-Price quality: 4/5 (good price quality ratio)Come here if you are looking for a fast, on average quality and service and not too expensive solution in the Gorges de l'Ardeche. We came after kayaking. The restaurant was very crowded, and quality and service were definitely impacted by it. We had different dishes, from meat to fish. Overall we were satisfied.

We walked past this restaurant at around 12.30pm as the market was about to clean up (Thursday) and decided to stop for lunch after the sightseeing. It was not the name that attracted us but the lovely courtyard. The local trout and frogs legs that were on offer as part of the Plat Dejour made the decision an easy one. A couple of good quality beers and a 500ml bottle of local Rose later we were very happy customers. The meals were beautifully presented by happy staff. Espresso for me and my wife had a desert she will remember. Total walk out cost 75 Euro's. Well done Le Chelsea.

We stopped here for lunch while touring on our motorcycles. We were hot and needed a break. Plenty of room in the shade for leathers, helmets etc and easy to park the bikes too. I had a huge salad which was fresh and tasty with a goats cheese "parcel" it went down a treat

The place is just outside of town in the middle of the sun flower fields (wich are juste starting to bloom in mid june) and vineyards. An old Mas being restored by an expatriate Belgian who runs a restaurant in the place. French cuisine, good food, reasonable prcies.Hello Sir,Thank you for your comment ! We enjoyed our meal. It wasn't spectacular but the place has a nice atmosphere and good service. The pictures show the dishes we ordered. I had the ravioli dish and though the ravioli wasn't made in house it was still good because the cheese sauce that went in the dish was. My husband enjoyed his meal too!

An early season visit to this restaurant.... no disappointment.We reserved, although on this particular evening it wasn't necessary. We would imagine that it would be necessary in the high season.We would call the decor eclectic and homely... it's different... and we liked the tables... always hoping that they would hold up long enough for us to finish the meal.The food... excellent. Typically for this style of restaurant, the menu is limited, but has a choice to please all. We chose one meat, one fish... both excellent choices. To finish... we had to sample the Banoffee pie... Monsieur being a British... it's a revisited version, but it certainly has the banoffee taste... so we were pleased!On the whole, an excellent evening, backed by good service.

Je connaissais l"Arkadia avant que ce restaurant ne se déplace dans le vieux Valllon.Après 500 m de marche à pied vous apprécierez la recherche culinaire du chef.Une explosion de saveurs en bouche comme l'émincé de veau au coques et jus d'huitres En vin un blan, un excellent "marsanneA ne manquer sous aucun prétexte si vous êtes dans la région.dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de menu carte comme le font beaucoup de confrères.Mais j'y retournerai malgré un coût un peu élevé au regard du pouvoir d'achatt du secteur

Le Restaurant De Chames is a very original restaurant with a menu that does not resemble any other restaurant. Nice but a bit deserted outdoor seating, friendly service and interesting food. A bit out of the ordinary.
