P'TY Lypous

We found this pllace just driving around the coast. I must say, it was a great find.Too bad noone understood English, so the communication was difficult, but what can I expect, it is France :)Everything else was great, we had a 3 meals course and some wine. Everything was fresh and well prepared, the wine was not that expensive, but tasted great. The service was excellent, as I said before, I couldn't order in English, but we found a common tongue ;)If I ever return to that region, I will definitely consider eating here again

Poissonnerie Moulinet

Reviewed By halcho

The Poissonnerie Moulinet is designed for serious seafood lovers only. Fresh seafood market on the ground floor and 2 floors of seafood restaurant above. They were kind enough to let my wife and I in when they opened at 7:00 even though all tables were reserved. Just about all of the 30 or so people who fit on the Second floor ordered 1 of the 5 or so mixed steamed seafood platters. I ordered the €25 size the second smallest. My wife helped and we had to work hard to finish it. We also split a seafood soup which I thought only ok. Broth not very interesting, light on seafood. The steamed platter was served on its own leaving the fresh seafood to shine. Which it did magnificently. There was lemon slices and a mustard mayonnaise for flavoring if desired. My plate included 4 oysters, many of three kinds of shrimp, a pile of snails, 5 or 6 small welk, half a huge Dungeness crab, several small clams. We split a good muscadet wine and enjoyed a very pleasurable meal.

Creperie Des Halles

Berthed in Treguier Marina, walked up into town and enjoyed superb gallettes at this family-run restaurant. Service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Atmosphere was very pleasant and there appeared to be a great welcome for families in another large room.A very good experience. Sorry we didn't have room for the crepes afterwards !The menu seemed quite extensive, plenty of choice for another day.

Le 5

Reviewed By MontrachetJ

It’s always good to return somewhere and find your positive impressions confirmed. So coming back to Le 5 after a year could have been an anti-climax but wasn’t; despite being the only customers for lunch on market day (hard to understand) we left very satisfied. Their formula works well, offering a single menu with variations - so three courses for 30 euros, the possibility of two at lunchtime for 22 euros, and a couple of specials for a 5 euro supplement. The food was again imaginative, clever, quite beautifully presented, and worthy of greater recognition from Michelin. Hard to pick out particular plates, because the tartellete of sardines was gorgeous and both the cod and the fillet of sole main courses quite outstanding. Very pretty desserts from a chef who likes moulds!Sadly, the wine list lacks a bit of variety but on the other hand it is kept cheap (nothing much above 25 euros) and the wines are good examples of their varieties. An excellent Oc Viognier tasted very fine and was worth more than we paid. This place really is worth the visit if you’re in this area - you won’t eat as well for so little very often.

Chez Constance

Reviewed By Stevej95060

Chez Constance was recommended by Pierre, the proprietor of Le Manoir de Kergrec'h. It's a restaurant, bar, bookstore, art gallery and concert hall. The food is all organic and the gallettes are the best we've ever had. Meals are prepared to order with the freshest ingredients. When we return to the area we'll be looking forward to the concerts and the tango dance evenings.

We ate twice at this delightfully unpretentious sea-view restaurant, both times waiting to watch the sun go down over the bay and strange rock formations that are part of the Brittany experience. Try walking round to the right and viewing the sunset through the pine trees for a magical experience. The food on each occasion was outstanding, particularly the petoncles (like little scallops) with blini and knuckle of pork. Great service, fantastic value. Two wonderful evenings.

Cafe Ar Vag

Great unpretentious and comfortable place to have a few drinks or a simple meal. The bar is a converted fishing skiff, the staff very welcoming and helpful. The menu is not extensive (moules & frites, burger, saucisse (very good one, not a frankfort) frites, etc.), but it is well prepared and tasty. Plenty to choose from on the drinks front though. Plenty of locals eating and drinking here, but, as tourists, we did not feel out of place.

We ate here on our second evening in Bretagne. The setting is lovely and good for children, as it has a large lawn overlooking the sea. We enjoyed crepes and cidre (for the adults); but both found that we enjoyed the food at the Creperie Des Amis more. That being said, the ambience at Creperie Les Korrigans was much nicer and also more professional. It's a lovely place to take guests or a family, or just to relax and enjoy crepes on your holiday.

La Maison Bleue

Reviewed By Alice210869

This was one of the best meals I have had in years. The food was very carefully prepared, simple and unpretentious but refined at the same time - and absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable. The dining room was lovely, and in the music is kept at a low enough volume to enable conversation. One caveat - I had asked when reserving the table if vegetarians (meaning, someone who eats neither meat nor fish/ seafood) were catered for; and was told yes. However, on arrival there were no vegetarian dishes on the menu at all and we were told by the serving staff that there was no vegetarian food on offer. Had my vegetarian companion not been willing to eat fish, this would have been a problem for us. This is not an unusual situation in France - to be told when booking a restaurant that vegetarians can be catered for, only to find at the restaurant that this is not the case. It might be worth the management sorting this out - although the restaurant was clearly (deservedly in every other respect) so popular that losing a few misled vegetarian customers is presumably not an issue. Apart from that, this is an excellent restaurant with lovely attentive staff and carefully prepared, truly delicious food.Hello, sorry, but my answer will be in french...Merci pour votre gentille appréciation et désolée qu’il y ait eu quiproquo au sujet des plats végétariens.
