We have come here many times and always enjoy fresh, hot & good food. We enjoy the Family "D" special (Mongolian Beef, General Tso's chicken, friend rice, chicken chow mien plus all the extras like BBQ pork, soup, egg roll etc.) We especially like the Lemon Chicken with white rice and by adding this to the Family special mean we get about 3 meals for two out of the deal. Everything comes to the table fresh and hot and the restaurant never seems too crowded. It is in a strip mall but we like the food here and will keep coming back. Nothing seems too spicy and you probably need to ask if you really want to spice up your meal! Two Family "D" meals + Lemon Chicken runs about $50.

We came here for dinner and tried a variety of different dishes. The assorted pigs ears, shrimp fried rice, pork dumplings, pan fried dumplings and bok choi were all very good. The dishes were well cooked with tender texture and excellent flavor. The service was prompt and friendly. This is an excellent restaurant.

I have been going here for years (previously Green Village III). The new owners changed the name of the restaurant but they still have the same cook. Their food is unique, it is Chinese but their dishes are not dishes found in most other Chinese restaurants. This is a MUST try restaurant! Especially if you like Chinese Szechwan and/or Hunan. The noodle pork gravy (bad name good food) and the Szechwan spicy pork soup are two of my favorites. But I've never eaten anything here that wasn't good. It isn't fancy but your mouth and your wallet will be glad you gave it a try.

We went for lunch and had a mixed experience. I had the Peling Duck and it was great. It was hot, flavorful with crispy skin and served with nice accompanying items (cucumber, green onion) that added to the flavor. My wife's food was flavorful but it was all cold. The walnut prawns were cold, the fried rice was tepid, the crab Rangoon was cold and the broccoli was cold. When we asked to have her food served hot the waitress stated this is a cold dish- that is how they serve it and the stuck her finger in the fried rice and said it was hot. The fried rice was barely above room temperature and I have never heard of walnut prawns served cold. It was unfortunate because the meal had good flavor, it was just cold. We want to like this place and will give it another try but this experience with them is not a good start.

Always searching for good food. Had a great chinese restaurant in Maple Valley but they change ownership and things weren't the same. Found this place by accident. Not much to look at on the outside but inside was clean and well decorated. Staff was friendly and prompt. Food was excellent. Lots of flavor. Portions are large. Left restaurant content and full. I will go back soon.

China Star puts out consistently good Chinese food. We love their wonton soup. It is not salty like most others. Honestly we haven't ordered anything that we have not liked. We like ordering the family dinner. We always get two meals from it. It heats up great.

The food here is really bad. It tastes awful and the textures are odd and displeasing. The service is fine but the food cannot be made up for. If you are looking for good, or even decent, Chinese food this isn't the place.

I have eaten here a few times and it has been amazing and other times not so good. Our last visit the garlic broccoli was oily and tasted old and they only had one server working making it a long drawn out dinner. We had to ask for more tea and water twice as well.

And very popular. At 8:00 on a Wednesday night, the restaurant only had one table available, and the restaurant was full and getting new customers even when we left. Most were Asian--all excellent signs that we'd picked a good place (we were travelling through, and wouldn't have stayed at an empty restaurant). This is old school, family style, comfort Chinese food. No fancy plating, no tricky garnishes. The menu's extensive and there were about six daily specials on a blackboard. We chose Dan Dan noodles and spicy eggplant from the menu and tea-smoked duck (a full half) from the specials. All were extremely good. And here's the amazing part: we paid no attention to prices, and in fact had no idea how much the duck dish was. Would have expected to pay about $25 for that alone. But no--our entire bill, including tax, was just over $24. Amazing value! If I lived nearby I'd be back soon.
