Café Loma has a large variety of homemade sweet and savory treats on offer. The location, right next to the Bothnic Sea and famous Nallikari beach make for a great place to drop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will most likely find something you enjoy. Me and my girlfriend had the tapas board and everything was so good. We also sampled some of the cakes and cupcakes that were prepared that day, YUM!

A nice coffee house just in the downtown walking area. They have products from their own bakery. And so many kind of that we had problems to choose - so we have returned several times for tasting different kind of products. The staff is very friendly.

There are two Anttell's cafeterias, on the same street, just one block from each other.Katri Anttell cafés are part of the history of Oulu. One of they traditional items is "omenahyve," a bagel containing meringue and apple. This piece of cake was a bit expensive, but with my companion we thought we were worth to have it.

Also the Dutch cheese I bought was very nice. This café stands in the market place in a prominent position....It is an excellent converted old wooden warehouse, with seating outside on a terraced area, inside near to the serving counter and on the upper floor....Quaint place with lots of character. Lovely pastries and great coffee.We enjoyed pastry delights and a good beer. Great place to watch the world go by whilst enjoying the atmosphere of the market...Great staff, very helpful and pleasant.....Toilet facilities on the upper floor, greeted by a reindeers head at the top of the stars....Bit cramped but adequate....not for the disabled and those with great walking difficulties....Lovely how the building creaks as you take to the steps.....

Found La Torrefazione "by accident" strolling into the mall from the winter cold late February and was pleasantly surprised. In a small space, baristas have all the equipment to make the latest and greatest in coffee and tea. The menu has options for every taste, and even adds practically sugar free smoothies made with whole fat yogurt.I went here for after-breakfast coffee, afternoon coffee and lunch and at all times was treated with great enthusiasm and professionalism. The staff genuinely cares about the quality of their product. My sandwich was very fresh and tasted delicious. I ordinarily don't get smoothies in a coffee bar but I had to try considering the menu - and to prepare for the inevitable moment that my wife wasn't up for coffee/tea. In one word, my smoothie was excellent - and as I mentioned, not sweet at all. Don't let the mall location fool you. This is real coffee, real tea, real everything. High tables, low tables, inside and "mall" seating. Highly recommended.

Cafe is open during the summer time only. You can sit either inside or outside. There's possibility to climb up to the tower and enjoy the view. I've always got good coffee, They sell sweet and salty pastries. If you just visit Oulu, have a break here!

Walking around in the beautifull market hall in Oulu we landed for lunch at the Pikku Panda Tea house and Food bar. The owner welcomed us enthousiastly, in fact in the Market Hall they own a Asian herb and food store, a tea house and a food bar. 4/5 The dishes are prepared by the owners and his daughter. We ordered Beef noodle soupe Beijing style, taste 4/5, total score 3/5, Fried Dumplings, filling 4/5, total score 3/5 and Long Jin tea 3/5. We, Chinese woman and partner have some recommendation to improve the quality of the dishes. Use less oil for Beef noodle soupe, make the skin of the dumplings a lot thinner and heat the oil a little higher, finally dip the Dumplings with oil absorbing paper before serving, than our validation should be 5/5

Restaurant is a few blocks from city center, still worth to visit. Interior is nicely decorated, more economically than others :) I went there for burgers with my family and list of burgeres was good, many options. Portion was quite big and tasty. But have to admit, have also got better burgers in Oulu than here. Only issue was that there is extremely limited places to park car so park car somewhere and walk.
