A modern wine bar and urban cellar door with a focus on the Mitchell Harris Wines range, and wine selections from Western Victoria and further afield. Classic bar food along with sumptuous feature dishes. A relaxed contemporary vibe, in a classic old Ball
This was one of the best wine bars I have been to. Great decor in an historic building. Cellar door for Mitchell Harris wines. Also a wi n e bar and bottle shop for a range of other wineries. Good selections by the glass. The $10 wine flight was excellent. Recommended

The best breakfast place in Ballarat
I had to come because of the name , which means 'delicious' in Dutch.... because I am Dutch .... Thats where the Dutchiness of the cafe ends , because there was nothing Dutch on the menu at all . But that did not matter to me at all , because what we got was a really friendly and helpful welcome and a really substantial and good breakfast .The toilet was nice and clean too.

Went to Harry's on a Monday evening for a quiet birthday dinner. We ordered scallops, bruschetta, fillet steak and apple crumble and pavlova. The streak was the standout for the night, coupled with a lovely glass of red. Well priced, the food was fresh and arrived in good time. We enjoyed the night out and would come back again.

A classic "old school" type of pub. Staff were good and a friendly old place. More of a "locals" type of pub but the log fire was a welcome comfort on a cold and wet day.

This cafe has a retro feeling taking you back to the fifties and sixties with a juke box in the corner and the food is like a home cooked meal. I.had breakfast which was made to order and delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming with still the touch of country warmth

The staff at The Old Bluestone Cafe agreed to serve me an item from the breakfast menu even though we arrived just after midday so that is worth a star. But the poached eggs on toast were exactly that, two slices of buttered sourdough toast and two poached eggs. For over $15 I hoped for maybe a sprig of parsley or some lemon. My husband commented that there was not much love on my plate and it felt like it. He did better with a bacon and egg sandwich for $9. It was ok.I don't know why some cafes stop breakfast at a set time and others have all day breakfasts especially when cafes like this one had a fairly small menu for both breakfast and lunch. When you travel you sometimes arrive outside standard hours. I like to support small towns and their eating places. There was maintenance work being done on the footpath at the front and I felt people were being hindered from getting to the cafe easily. So we made the effort to get to it. I wish our experience had been more pleasant. I don't know why people complain when they receive exactly what they order? The menu states "Eggs Anyway - two eggs, fried, poached or scrambled on your choice of toast - $13.90". and Breakfast finishes at 12 noon. So we accommodated your request at nearly 1 pm and for some reason you expected to get more than what you ordered? We do usually place a sprig of parsley, maybe we had run out. Never heard of lemon with eggs. As far as breakfast ending at a set time, it's not that uncommon. If you owned or managed a cafe you would understand why.Sorry we could reach your expectations by serving exactly what you requested. Maybe next time. Enjoy your day.

Went here with a group of 20+ for Sunday lunch, and weren't disappointed. Everyone enjoyed their meals, except the Paella for 2 was a bit small and quite dry, but everything else looked delicious. Staff were a little flustered, but it was very busy, and once caught up they were wonderful. I've been here twice in the last couple of weeks and both times food was fresh, full of flavor, and a delight to eat. Will definitely return.

Busy restaurant, staff were absolutely delightful and helpful without being over bearing. Seemed to always appear at just the right time. Chose 2 pizzas from the menu and shared with someone else, must say I was glad we walked there so I could walk off the pizza on the way home.Made to perfection and do many interesting flavour combination plus still offering the old favourites. Loved watching the pizza dough being thrown, nice to know it was all so fresh. Big thumbs up.

Staying in Ballarat for the weekend when our hotel recommended this pub for a good feed. I ordered the gnocchi which was ok, nothing special, a little stodgy if anything but tasty enough. Partner had the mixed grill which he enjoyed. Meals are huge so if you're eyeing off the desert menu as I was, forget it. Too full. The place had a nice feel to it and we got chatting to the lovely owner. I'd go back again but this time have an entree instead of main just so I can try the desert with the Turkish Delight.

A relaxed winery with restaurant in a very laid back atmosphere. No tours, no master classes. Let the kids play a board game while you browse our extensive range of wines and liqueurs. We offer an extensive range of healthy wood fired pizzas topped with t
A family favourite of ours, we've been here on cold days and hot days and this winery always pleases. The tapas platter is delicious for 2 to share, easily made into vegetarian, the woodfired pizzas are very tasty with lots of choice (not overpriced either). Their moscato champagne and pinot noir is very tasty.Kids are welcome with a carpeted area for giant jenga, toys etc with lots of curiosities outside for kids to enjoy as well, like an old Jeep to climb in and out of. The eclectic memorabilia is a great talking point for all ages. The winery is a great venue for birthdays or special occasions. It states on the menu that the food will take a long time, so don't expect meals in 20 minutes, it does take at least an hour - slow food but worth it.Located on the Geelong side of Ballarat (about 20 minutes from the CBD), Mt Buninyong Winery is definitely worth the drive.
