It's been a LONG time since I ate at Chances R. As I recall I wasn't overly impressed. My wife and I decided to give it another try and I was pleased. Probably the best burger I've had at a diner in years.

We met here with a group of 16 friends for dinner and the management did a great job giving us tables that were perfect. Our waitress did a great job keeping all the orders straight and we received our food in a timely manner. Everyone was very happy with what they had ordered. It was a first time visit for all our friends and they were all very impressed. I had the BLT which was very good. A great place to dine!

Two families of 4 came here by boat on a cloudy Thursday for lunch. Ordered the nachos as we have been on a quest for the best nachos on the lake. These are a solid #2, although #1 for uniqueness. We had the brisket ones. There were games to keep the kids occupied. All food was good, especially the fries. It was clean and we will be back next year when we visit LOTO again.

We went to Captain Ronâs this past Saturday for dinner after getting into town for vacation on the lake. We looked on TripAdvisor for well reviewed restaurants and Captain Ronâs was close with good reviews and a versatile menu. We had 13 people with us and knowing that is a larger number we decided to message the restaurant on Facebook for a reservation. The Facebook person responded and had us down for that night. We show up and the hostess had no idea we had made a reservation and explained that Captain Ronâs does not take reservations. She also said that itâs typical for the social media crew to not tell the hostess about reservations and itâs a regular issue. Luckily we were able to get a table on the patio. Service was slow but the staff was friendly and tried to be prepared for refills and orders every-time they came to the table. After receiving our appetizers and entrees, the quality of food did not merit the price point for what we paid. The kicker to this review is that there was a drunk college age kid I will call âKyleâ. This Kyle person was extraordinarily drunk and was sitting at random tables and harassing the patrons. Kyle was sitting with 3 women at the time and he had no idea who they were and they did not welcome him to the table. After they asked Kyle to leave he started using very profane loud words to describe the women and there were 7 kids in the immediate vicinity. Overall very poor experience which we did not expect from the reviews we had read. Very disappointing.

We met friends there and had a great lunch. I had the nachos and they were super. Homemade potato chips with beans, pulled pork, salsa, cheese, green onions, and probably other stuff. It was more than enough for 2. Others had sandwiches and one had ribs & wings which she took the ribs home. Good portions and reasonable prices. We would go there again.

For our family reunions we order several pizza's for the first night to make it easy as people arrive at different times. We picked Papa Chubby's to help us out this year. 7 different pizzas including one gluten free were called in mid afternoon while we were still all on the road. Sometimes this can be risky hoping they will get it right & be timely on availability. Papa Chubby's hit it out of the park. On time, priced reasonably, got each one right and they were fantastic!

This was our first time here and it was really good. Our kids loved all of the activities! Jenga, washers, and volleyball were their top favorites. The food was good. We had a variety of food; pizza, fish sandwich, nachos, and cheeseburgers. We would come here again!

We were here three different times throughout Bikefest weekend. We watched two different bands, as well as having supper in the dining room. Our food in the dining room was good. The drinks outside while watching the band could have been stronger (or cheaper), but I guess you are paying extra for being right on the water and for the bands they bring in. We will be back, it's a great atmosphere.

We stopped here for lunch on a Monday. Not crowded but had live music. Good view of the lake, good service and your typical food. Nothing stood out as above excellent in the food department but was satisfactory for what I expected. I could see this being a great environment on a busy day!

Spouse and I celebrated our 57th anniversary here last week. Staff was wonderfully accomodating since we were a few minutes early for dinner. Terrific view of the lake from several tables. Service was above reproach, staff was very attentive, catering to our every wish. My salmon was outstanding, spouse thought her marsala was a little dark but still very good - excellent wine. We were too full for desert. Love Ruthie D's, we'll be back.
