It was Mother's Day at about 4:30, the Bruins game had just started, and I took a seat at the bar. Restaurant was half full. Started with an unsweetened Iced Tea, it tasted like chemicals and my bartendress cheerfully replaced it with diet pepsi. I ordered the taco burger (chili burger) with the fries crispy. The knife and fork were visibly dirty and the knife handle stickiness would not wipe off with a napkin. The knife was replaced with a clean one. I would guess the cutlery is packed too close together in the washing machine so the soap and water don't get in between them. That kind of stupidity could make someone very sick. It only takes a few minutes to train workers to do this correctly. Food was delivered a little slow, but not bad for mother's day. The burger patty was ample but dull, the chili looked and tasted like canned. but worst of all the chili was room temperature, making the whole sandwich unappealing. The fries were pale, soft, and also on the cool side. I had complained twice already. The young lady tending bar seemed to have had her patience drained by hearing complaints all day. I felt sorry fore her, having to make excuses and listen to complaints about the kitchen output all day. I did not raise any issues about the food. After two bites, I paid and left, never to return. $18 down the drain plus 45 minutes wasted. BBC - what do you think those letters stand for?

Glenview Pub & Grill

My husband and I stopped in for an appetizer and glass of wine to decompress after a long day... we snagged a table in the bar area and ordered the whole clam special, large (9 oz) glasses of wine and got comfortable.Glenview decor is a bit dark and dated in the bar area. Large bar area, stools, TV's, a couple high top tables. Dining room has a combination of tables and booths with a nice fireplace. The service was fast and pleasant. The menu quite extensive!Wine was served quickly followed by the yummy clams. Clams were fresh, steaming hot, lightly battered and yummy. The serving size was ok but gone quickly. It WAS only an appetizer after all -- lol! We should have ordered more! We did also snag a basket of popcorn from the bar which went nicely with our last couple sips of wine...We WOULD have stayed longer, snagged dinner BUT the corner of the bar was dominated by a group of loud, foul mouthed guys -- they were pals and wanted to fill each other in on every f***in' idiot they had encountered on every f***in' job... It was really off-putting and they were clearly settling in for the night. We just moved on. Not the Glenviews fault, but also not a great impression and certainly not appropriate in a public setting. Will try again, but will scout the crowd better first...

The Old Court Irish Pub & Restaurant

Great atmosphere in downtown Lowell. This is really a pub so go for a pint but the food is mediocre at best. The owners are Irish and friendly. As the evening progresses the Court morphs into a true bar with a twenty something crowd. There is a function room upstairs.

99 Restaurants

Welcome to your Lowell Ninety Nine Restaurant where we have "A Passion To Serve." Come dine with us and check out our 9 Real Size Entrees for just $9.99 or come enjoy our Thursday Night Trivia at the bar.

My wife and I went to the Lowell, MA 99 restaurant for dinner on Friday. We arrived about 6:30 PM, I was surprised there was no line to be seated. Even so, the parking lot was full and the bar was fully occupied, but we got a booth right away. Our server came right over, took our beverage orders and was back in a flash with these and our popcorn bowl (we actually finished off two). If I were going to complain about anything I might propose (with no objective basis, mind you) that the cocktail glasses seemed smaller than I am used to seeing at other restaurants. We ordered off the "9 Real Size Entrees for $9.99" selection, my wife had the New England Fried Shrimp. She was surprised that she had plenty of shrimp and not so many fries - usually the other way around. I had the Country Fried Chicken which came with mashed potatoes, my choice of broccoli (cooked to perfection) a biscuit and country gravy (which, if you don't know, is white). We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Maybe the 99 can offer these meals at a lower price because as delicious as they were, we had no leftovers, which we usually have when we go out. Nevertheless, let me reiterate, the food was delicious, our server was totally personable and attentive. One more thing I might add. Maybe because we went on a hot and humid day; it was freezing inside. We will definitely go back, our dining experience was just fine.

Stopped in at Applebee's for a late night snack after a concert and ordered appetizers. The restaurant was pretty quiet, but service was slow. It was strange that our server, Taylor, never brought us plates to eat from, since we were sharing the appetizers, but she never came back with them, so we ate from the serving plates, which felt kind of rude. So much for refills of our drinks, that never happened either. Applebee's is usually better, it's always been a go-to for us, but tonight was strange, the service left much to be desired. The food was ok though...nachos were very heavy on the hamburger and a little too greasy.
