Chelmsford /ˈtʃɛlmsfərd/ is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts in the United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the town's population was 33,802. Only 48.4% are male and the median age of residents in Chelmford is 39.2 years old. It is located 24 miles (39 km) northwest of Boston and, bordering on the city of Lowell, is part of the Greater Lowell metropolitan area. Besides Lowell on its northeast, Chelmsford is surrounded by four towns: Tyngsborough to the north, Billerica to the southeast, Carlisle to the south, and Westford to the west. Chelmsford is bordered by two sizable rivers: the Merrimack River to the north, and the Concord River to the east.

This is relatively short - only about 7 miles if you do the route to Lowell. The entrance in Lowell is very hard to find and not marked well at all. However, it is all paved, shaded by beautiful trees and you only have two streets to cross - one in Lowell and one in Chelmsford. They are continuing to add to the trail which will be nice. This is good for walking, biking, and taking a family stroll.

I have an even greater appreciation for fabric than I did before visiting. The effects of the cotton industry on women's rights, slavery, labor unions, and the Industrial Revolution are fascinating to explore. You get a small (but very loud) feel for what it was like to work in the cotton mills. Ranger Stephen, and the weavers in the mill room, are extremely knowledgable and passionate about the history of Lowell and the mills. So glad we stumbled on the opportunity to explore this important chapter of US History.

Returned after years of not visiting here. The trails are pretty well marked, lush, green and mostly flat. Nice to get out for an afternoon walk and always happy to have a delicious ice cream for motivation at the end! The extreme chocolate is dark, delicious and very rich if you love chocolate ice cream. It's not for the faint of heart! Great way to celebrate National Ice Cream Day!

A nice lakeside park. Lots of green space, and ball field, plus a playground for kids too. The park was well maintained, clean and a nice clientele. plenty of parking.

Unfortunately I'm not going to give Kimball Farm a good review. Their ice cream was great though. We won a "Give Me Five" pass so recently went, all excited to go. The Give Me Five pass said it was good for ice cream as one of the 5 things you could use it for but when we ordered the ice cream we were told we had to pay for it, which we weren't expecting. Then there was a large corporate event going on so there were thousands of people there. I think they should put a sign outside letting you know that it will be overly crowded that day so you can choose to leave & come another day. Regardless we probably would have stayed since we traveled over an hour to get there. The first thing we did was the zip line. We stood in line for over 1 1/2 hours to go on a one minute ride. There was no rhyme or reason to the line so people were cutting the line. Then we played miniature golf which took us 2 hours to play because it was so crowded so you had to wait for the people ahead of you to finish their hole before you could play & then you felt rushed because there were so many people behind you. We are 2 60 + people and standing for over 3 1/2 hours was too much for us with no place to sit down due to the crowds. We asked if we could leave & come back another day to use the remainder of our 3 activities & we were told no, we used it that day or tough luck. We decided to go to the Animal Adventure since there was no line & by now we had been at Kimballs for 6 hours & only managed to do 3 things. Every place we went the line was at least an hour to two hour wait & we just couldn't do it, so we left. We would have REALLY been upset if we had paid the $42.50 price the Give Me Five is, but as I said we won the passes. Due to the crowds & the long long wait in line I can't give Kimballs a good review.

I remember working in a spinning mill when I was younger. You hear the same noise and can understand what the people went through. The canal ride is a wonderful ride and they explain how Lowell utilized the river. Going thru the locks was fantastic.

This quaint, wheel chair accessible shop within a strip-mall provides excellent chocolate at reasonable (not fancy boutique) prices. We loved their milk and dark chocolate more than Connecticut's Munson's and even Belgium's Leonida's We especially liked their malted milk balls and raisinets. Their truffles, however we found not as good as Leonida's. Mrs. Nelson’s according to the cashier does not sell candy on-line, but their mother store in Cornville, Maine called Nelson’s Candies does.

We love Great Brook Park in all seasons...and the skiing concession does a great job of grooming the trails. We have rented equipment for family and friends and been very happy with the service and quality. Great family outing... Trails for all skill levels.

A group of garden ladies ventured through the gardens to watch the winged critters. We saw quail, finch, koi fish, various types of butterflies and caterpillars. We enjoyed a nice question and answer time with staff member Jacky! She helped us find special spots. We were fascinated. Definitely an educational and enjoyable morning.
We loved all the colorful sights. A Special Thanks to Anna, Jacky and Joan!!!

Nothing like minor league summer baseball. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, but it's always fun!
The Spinners staff does a good job keeping a balance between serious baseball watching and a "whatever" atmosphere. Tickets are inexpensive, food is reasonably priced, and there are distractions for kids and silly mid-inning promotions. On Taco Tuesday, a chili pepper and a taco raced around the warning track in go-karts.
If you can't love that, you need help.
