Great hotel in a very small city. The swimming pool was unbelievable and they also had a good indoor heated pool. The famous “Termas” are acessible from inside the hotel, and you can have massages and other treatments there (cost extra). Breakfast was excellent and dinner also.

A hotel in a beautiful building but needs improvements to offer a good service. The rooms have no air conditioning and the bathrooms are in urgent need of refurbishment. I was a week in full board and did not regret . Despite the variety not be much the making has quality and service is very good. The same applies to the rest of the team , attentive and good professionals . The pool serves the needs need , however , for maintenance.

On the last day of our bike trip we call the hotel at last minute. It was last room. In the very center of the vilage. The owners where very friendly an polite. The decoration is a mix between modern art and some aged pieces.

Lovely hotel staff lovely and helpful extremely lovely breakfast. Area is very nice but very quiet this time of year. Some of the top restaurants were closed. Room was very cosy smaller than we were expecting but really lovely never the less. We would stay again if we were in the area and would depend recommend it to others. Jane and Juan

The hotel was magnificent. The rooms were good, not great. They were of ample size, nice bath, but no AC or wifi in the room. Restaurant was excellent as was the service. The location could not be beat, in the middle of the Bucaco Forest.

For us (a middle aged couple and 2 dogs) this was a perfect place. Clean, quiet, shady, and excellent showers. It's about a 15 minute walk into the town, and it's a great base for visiting other places. The buildings could certainly do with a lick of paint, but everything is well maintained. It's set in woodland, and very peaceful.

This XIX's Palace shows you the charming atmosphere of a mediaeval English castle. You will be able to relax here, while enjoying its beautiful and amazing decoration.
This is a place that tries to be many things but fails dismally at most of them. The front gate which is so narrow that 'paint will be scrapped'. Parking inside is a nightmare. Walking up multiple flights of narrow staircases, with no elevators and no porters. Rooms done out in 1960's bad taste art deco. Ancient plumbing. Communal breakfast table in a stuffy dining room. It is obvious that this is an old family mansion trying to make ends meet but offers very little to travellers.

8 of us ended up in 3 rooms as discussed over the phone (in portuguese) and confirmed by e-mail. The hotel is a bit old and nothing fancy but it is very nice. Rooms are very spacious and our mattress was very comfortable. Parking on the Largo very close. The small hotel parking is only used for drop off. Breakfast is included. If you want a good and friendly restaurant, try Pedra de Sal, within 200 meters

This Hotel offers you quality facilities, having 52 Rooms with private bathroom (20 with hydromassage bathtub), served by satellite TV, telephone, radio, air conditioned and 5 Suites. Placed in the center of the country Luso is a termal village near the national forest of Buaco. Come and "drink" a cocktail of oxygen.
On arrival, in the early evening, the restaurant was closed, the bar was closed and the staff actually recommended an adjacent bar since no food or beverages were available. On inspection of the room we found our limited view was further obstructed by scaffolding. Well at least the room's mini-bar may numb the laughable experience. Nope!. The fridge was completely empty. In fact friends we arranged to meet there told us their fridge was empty too. There was an indoor pool which was slightly bigger than my own bath and distinctly had a 'film' on the water. The heating unit was definitely needed overnight but was as quiet as a car left running in the bedroom. It was either stay awake because of the cold or stay awake because of the noise. Breakfast was awesome though. Plenty of variation and plenty of it. Trouble was, I fell asleep in to my bowl of Cornflakes.
