Lagos Hostels hotel | Places to Stay in Lagos

There is rich and beautiful history within Lagos’ 14th century walls, from its fortress to picturesque churches like Medieval São João Hermitage and the 17th-century São Sebastião. But that’s all appetizer. People come here for a main-course coastal buffet featuring more than a half-dozen beautiful beaches. Quiet sandy coves are sandwiched between dramatic cliffs. The sandy 2.5-mile stretch of Meia Praia caters to every water sport imaginable. And when you’ve had your fill, you can digest your day with some of the best nightlife in the Algarve region.

Excellent accommodation and facilities. I had a private room and bathroom on the third floor. I would definitely recommend room 303 if you can the views are spectacular. The staff are so friendly and no request is too much for them. The location is perfect, in the old town minutes walk to the beach, marina and the array of restaurants are astonishing. Something for everyone. The breakfast which was included was very simple but very good. Exceptional value for money.

Olive Hostel

We are a german-portuguese run hostel in the center of Lagos, offering beautiful, clean and comfortable accommodation with all bathrooms communal. We are housed in a nicely preserved and decorated old building. We loved to design it, please feel free to enjoy it. Welcome to good beds music and vibes We think the beauty of Lagos is it's variety of adventures that it has to offer for all ages, from escalating parties to rolling down surf and from stunning History to interesting culture, or from beautiful grottos to lovely dolphins. Our accommodation-range goes from double to twin and 4 bed room to the 8er dorm. The house can also be divided in two apartments. The kitchen is the meeting point with a little TV lounge attached. It is fully equipped to prepare your own meals, spices and olive oil are free and in winter you even have the oven going. We also have a common room with games, books, magazines and instruments for you to play. The patio with it's couches is having the colors of summer, but is comfy in winter. Next to it is the little bar with Music, vine, coffee and chocolate mousse

Coming home

Love this little place, will definitely go back. The atmosphere is super relaxed, mainly because of the owner Claudia and the cozy vibes of the place itself. It's a perfect place to meet people from all over the world. After a day at the (super stunning) beach or after satisfying daytrip it was great coming back to the guests all sitting together in the terrace: chatting, drinking, eating and even singing together. It felt like a home, not like a hostel. OBRIGADA!

Simple and very clean

Reviewed By Andy B

The location is superb and very quiet. Our room was very adequate and even had a little balcony overlooking the old wall. The bathroom looked as though it was quite new. Everybody was helpful and they even did a load of washing for us (small charge). We extended our stay by an extra night as we felt so comfortable. If travelling with a car the street parking is difficult but directly behind (on the other side of the old city wall) is a massive free public car parking area, that is literally 200 metres away and so easy to get in & out of without having to necessarily negotiate the very narrow yet charming streets of Lagos.

Great place

I stayed here for 12 nights. nicely decorated, extremely clean and very helpful staff (Miguel, Rui & Jaoa) who all speak excellent English. Close to the historic district, just a short walk away as well as the promenade along the water. Lots of restaurants and shops. breakfast included and use of the kitchen as well as an outside BBQ after 3pm. even a bidet in the bathroom, how European and for a hostel Each floor has a router so the wi-fi is excellent. Can't recommedt this hostel enough!

Racing Mackerel Hostel

We're a small hostel run by husband and wife team. We have maximum of 16 beds so it is very easy to get to know everyone staying with us. We have one rule at the hostel: relax.

Good place to stay overnight

Reviewed By piotrekb505

Racing Mackerel is small and relatively cheap hostel. We needed to stay somewhere in Lagos for one night to get our train in the very morning and for that it was a good choice, The thing is, that for me it is hard to imagine to stay here for any longer. Specifically I didn't like the bathrooms/toilets where in small room there are squeezed two showers an two toilet bowls kinda looking like some memes showing Russian toilets, i.e. no privacy whatsoever. Except for that, the place is clean, staff is helpful and the localisation is ok.

Close location & friendly staff

Reviewed By Kevin W

We stayed here two nights and choose this location as it was close to all the downtown area. We could walk here from the train station as well as to the bus station. Be warned up front that they don't take credit cards here. There was a problem with my debit card so we ended up paying in cash. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We had a room above the main entrance with a mini deck. The room was nice and comfortable, but be warned that you're close to 3 or 4 hostels so it does get noisey at night when party goers are headed home for the evening.
