We were a big part of 8. I had two guava mojitos, which I highly recommend, and would have happily had a third. As a group we had two sampler appetizers, the lechon, carne molida, ropa vieja, pollo moderno, steak and cuban sandwiches. For dessert, we had the tres leches and the guava pastelitos. The guava pastelitos were very good and made my cousin and I pretty happy. All in all, all the dishes were pretty good and flavourful. Food came out pretty fast, so I am assuming some of it was prepared ahead. I agree that the restaurant is on the pricier side. The waitress moved in slow motion, added an 18% tip to the bill and didn't mention it. We then accidentally left an additional tip for her poor service. We realized this upon leaving and went back almost immediately to correct the matter. They wouldn't reprocess the bill but stated that they would not run the tip. I will update this review if this isn't the case. In the meantime, if coming in with a big party, look at the bill closely.

I had high hopes for Pacifico, after reading the menu, but the descriptions were better than the reality. Drinks sounded good but were hard to distinguish from each other...(is this the daiquiri? or is that?). We had mostly small plates and shared, but nothing really wowed us. The ceviche was a disappointment-- 4 shrimp with lots of onion--if the idea is that the shrimp are expensive, I'd rather have more of some alternative (a white fish) The mussels were abundant, but not memorable. The fish tacos were again, 'okay', but the (fried) fish was just a bit soggy, and there was nothing special about the sauce. Service was fine, friendly and efficient. Maybe because we eat a lot of this type of food we have higher expectations, but nothing about Pacifico would bring me back. Thanks for the review and the feedback, CarTRVLR. We're sorry you had a less than stellar experience, and we hope you'll give us another chance to make it right.
