Basta is a small and absolutely lovely restaurant. Feels very much like an old world family spot. Very warm and welcoming, but, on a cold night there is a wicked blast of cold air that comes in, even with the heavy curtains.The menu was very traditional with nothing unique or cutting edge. We did really like the white beans and escarole. All of our dishes were nicely presented and were all very good, but it is not a place to go if you are looking for modern trends, but rather a very good traditional fare spot. Our waitress, Robin, was absolutely lovely.

Four of us ordered four small pizzas because we could not decide from all the choices! The fig and prosciutto won. Rosemary chicken was a nice change. Brussel spouts were good. You can have vegan cheese on any of the pizzas. Overwhelming options for people used to not having a good time in pizza places!Brussels sprouts were good.We ended up taking more than one pizza home but no complaints about leftovers. We got there at six and it was empty. We worried that maybe it would nit be good. But there were crowds of people by six thirty. A new favorite restaurant.

I'll start with this: Frank Pepe Pizza is the BEST!! No, its not crazy combinations of toppings one can get at other pizza places--it's just the BEST pizza ever. The dough, the sauce, the toppings---unmatched. There. I said it.THE SPOT is the little place behind the Frank Pepe larger restaurant. The pizza is the same. It's smaller, quieter and feels like home. I love how informal everything is here.If you want balsamic fig pizza, or barbecue chicken pizza...this isn't your thing. You'll be disappointed. If you want the BEST pizza...Frank Pepe.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. I checked the trip advisor reviews and we decided to go. So glad we did! Loved the cozy atmosphere. Loved that all tvs just had mob movies on them. Our waiter Tony was top notch! He really made our dining experience 5 stars! Tony was so awesome that the table next to us, leaned over and asked if they could have our waiter too. Nice menu. We were happy with our choices and portions were plentiful!

Scarcely a mile from the New Haven Train Station and just a short distance off I-91, Adriana's continues in a pleasant old school time warp with bel canto and European crooner music in the background, excellent wine by the bottle or glass, attentive service and a wide array of Italian specialties from the sea, the pasta repertoire and from the butcher shop.The neighborhood looks a little iffy, but inside you will be pampered and receive a lot of attention to detail. Even the espresso is superb.The portions are generous, the variety commendable and they have earned a loyal following.

This is by far the best Italian food I have ever eaten. The chef was a winner on the TV show "Chopped". The food was seasoned to perfection. Great atmosphere and the wait staff is the best.

We love Brazi's, its food and its people. We eat there regularly, and when our extended family has a gathering for special (and sometimes solemn) occasions, Brazi's is our go-to place for these functions. Simple but delicious! Great for big groups and families. Loved the Salad with caramelized pecans and bleu small and large both portion to share.Pick your pizza topping... pepperoni had a nice spice Great beer selection and bartender was able to give you suggestions. Truly canât say enough about how much we enjoyed this experience. I had hear about New Haven pizza but thought, yea ok whatever. I was wrong, we went twice in 2 days, Itâs the crust, wet slightly in center but crisp and chewy at same time. And simple crushed tomatoes for sauce. Service was excellent both times, thx Fran. Canât wait to go back!

After a decade I finally returned, next time I will not wait as long. This pizza was absolutely delicious. Delicious sauce and cheese just enough on a thin to medium crust that was on the verge of chewy and crunchy. At one point I actually thought the crust might've been even better than the sauce and cheese part, now that's saying something. Lots of dining space here thought you might have a problem when it's crowded. Go before six and beat the crowd. Clean place, decent service and you get what you pay for, that delicious pie!!
