We had the pork dish this evening . Fantastic! Best we have had in Portugal for sure. Great house wine. The food, ambiance and service made this a terrific meal. It was like being invited to friends home for a special dinner. If you want to feel like you are appreciated as a guest come to Santo Bife. We are so sorry tomorrow is Sunday and they will be closed. Well deserving of the 5 out of 5 rating. Everyone who eats here says the same.

A cosy restaurant that focuses mostly on meat. Good service and tasty food in abbundant portions. Nothing fancy but well prepared, honest food. I had grilled pork (secretos de porco), which my toddler loved as well, and a typical Portuguese dessert from the Alentejo called "sericaia", which was presented as it should be with a preserved plum ("ameixa de Elvas"). Food and service was unbelievable. The staff id excellent. They like their jobs and it shows. We had lunch with a group from our nearby church on Tuesday. Food was incredible. We also had a chance to talk with the owner. He and his business are a blessing to the community
