My wife and I just had an excellent evening at this place. The welcoming perfect and the waiters, specially the waitress spoke perfectly english. The menu is small and speciall but there is something for everybody. Delicous olives with different types of bread and truffle-butter did the start. Followed by duck-liver on beets with blueberries, perfectly spiced, and for my wife a nice salmon tatar, without milk products due to an allergy. The main corses... I can't explain them... just look... delicious! Looking for a marching wine, out of a well done wine-menu, the waitress lets us taste the housewine to help deciding... We went directly for that one...To finish this perfect evening we decided to go for a gin-tonic. And the BigBoss did what we exspected! All together: Search for this place if you are around! It is really worth it! And lot of thanks for this perfect evening!

Out group went to have lunch there after the visit of the Monastery. The restaurant is on the above the pastry shop with plainly decorated. We were served with prosciutto and hot delicacies. Main dish portion was big. The fish dishes both grilled and baked were good but the pork dishes were chewy with little taste. The calamari was very good though.

We just "bumped" into this restaurant for lunch travelling by car from Fátima to Batalha. We weren't expecting much but had a pleasant surprise. The service is very cordial with the head waiter (possibly also manager) interacting very positively with the customers. The prices are good for foreigners, possibly on the expensive side for Portuguese salaries. The food is very good Portuguese cuisine. I recommend the grilled octopus with baked potatoes (with their skin) and sautéed Portuguese cabbage, beans and farmer's bread (migas) - very very good. Or the baked stockfish with potatoes and prawn cream. Recommended

There is clearly a reason why this restaurant is always full. Great food, great service (we were served within 20 minutes of the order despite a full restaurant) and ok prices. Certainly not the cheapest but quality is really good. The bife do lombo particularly.

The restaurant, quite small, has a back room where all the food is set out. You go and fill a plate with starters(from a selection of about 30!), then return for a choice of main courses and vegetables. Finally you go back for cheese (8 different cheeses) and desserts. Wine just flows, and a bottle of port appears at the end. Self-service with a difference! And as a vegetarian, i was still spoiled for choice.

Haven't been there in quite a while, but seems to have changed a lot.It has a great atmosphere with a great selection of Portuguese food.It looks a bit more expensive than the average, but the food is worth it.This time I only had the Salmon, but it's actually a well known restaurant for suckling pig.
