The Pension Arenal is located in the center of San Vicente de la Barquera, we have doubles from 27.00 euros in low season and 45.00 in high season. All rooms have bathroom with shower and toilet, hair dryer and free WIFI. We have a place to store bikes that use this medium to do the Camino de Santiago.
Good Budget Accommodation on the Pilgrims Trail
Reviewed By StephibanksThe location in San Vicente is perfect as it is just a few minutes from the bus station. It is also in the heart of the town so easy to get out and about to explore. The room was a very basic room with just enough room to organise ourselves though we did have to move the furniture around a bit to accommodate our suitcases though I appreciate that this accommodation is really suited to pilgrims who travel lightly. It is good basic accommodation and ideal for just a night or two - we stayed for 3 nights and could have done with a bit more space an comfort but it was fine for the money. You need to know that you need to go to the cafe to pick up the key - this is one the front row of shops and cafe's and is called Cafeteria Carma. Carma will show you to your room but she doens't speak English but you can communicate by smiling! The water in the shower was always nice and hot and the room was cleaned and beds made every day. Cafe Carma is a great place to go for breakfast or have drinks in the evening and they do a fantastic range of cakes and pastries which I highly recommend. In all a good stay.
