We were looking for a lunch place in the bustling historic centre of Sintra, a rabbit warren of winding laneways full of cafes and restaurants, when a pictorial menu caught our eye. Not your usual Portuguese and tourist fare. A few minutes later our group of 8 was seated on the tiny outdoor terrace ordering salads of salmon tartare with quinoa, fresh tuna or salmon, goats cheese, gorgeous platters of cheeses and meats, and toasted steak or tuna steak sandwiches. Fabulous, we all agreed it was the best lunch we had had in 2 weeks in Portugal. Great value, highly recommended.

Friends books us into INcomum, and we all had a lovely evening. The room is tight and friendly, the server chose a lovely vino verde and we all had delicious meals. Two of the group ordered the tasting menu which was delicious and substantial.

Byron considered Sintra one of his favourite places in the whole world, so it was only fitting that we dropped into this lovely cafe for a snack. With pleasant ambiance in the company of colourful azulejos, we had coffee and some snacks.A grand interlude.

This place is a gem. We were served by the owner - man of many talent ;)Food was great. I loved pork stomach (I know it sounds odd but in reality it is a great snack).
