Whether you're into history, culture, outdoor adventures or just in need of some new and unique scenery, Albuquerque offers exciting attractions for all ages and interests, anytime of the year. In the historic section of Old Town, ancient Indian and Spanish cultures come to life through old churches, quaint shops and piazzas, winding brick paths and adobe benches. Browsers can spend a whole day making their way through the more than 100 stores, boutiques and galleries that sell Southwestern goods as well as unique products from around the world. During the winter holiday season, Old Town is adorned with small lit candles and thousands come to stroll through the streets, listen to live music and celebrate. It is truly a sight to see. But the history doesn't stop there. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the Petroglyph National Monument offer a glimpse of old Indian customs and art. Families will find plenty to do at the Albuquerque Biological Park, which features a zoo, aquarium and botanic garden. Outdoor types will find ample opportunities for hiking, biking and golf. After working up an appetite, head to any number of fine restaurants that serve up a choice of hot or even hotter New Mexican cuisine. To top it all off, take a ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway for spectacular views of all this vibrant city has to offer.

I visited Ibiza bar and lounge several times during my stay at Hotel Andaluz. They have an indoor bar and a rooftop lounge. On the weekend there was a DJ. The bartenders were nice. I enjoyed chatting with Olivia. She was so sweet. They can make any drink you request and have a few hand crafted cocktails that are unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Try the Sandia haze.

Guava Tree Cafe

A great little spot to taste authentic flavors of the Caribbean, Central and South America, made from scratch daily. Share, meet new people, and talk Spanish to the friendly staff. Take it home, call in from work, and come back. Repeat!

My daughter works at the University and goes out to eat often. It was her birthday and I wanted to take her someplace new.I found the Guava Tree restaurant and we loved it.Our chicken sandwich with cheese and mushrooms was the best either one of us had eaten. She had some drink that was sour and she loved it too. A cute place by Monte Vista and Central. I highly recommend this cute place.

Very new restaurant. Moved into one of the closed Garduno's after they filed bankruptcy.

I love NM Mexican food. Everything should be as it was at El Patron. The chips & salsa, the enchiladas, sopapillas, and Iced-tea (with lemon). Wonderful, fast and efficient service. I like the decor. It is very conducive for a 2 hour lunch with a dear friend.

I don't know how people have reviewed this place positively. It was horrible. The red sauce is bitter. The quessadillas were greasy and slathered in that terrible red sauce. I don't know how this place has been open for so many years. I am cheap and still threw away my food. Do not go there!

Although we have lived in Albuquerque for a number of years, we had never eaten at this Gardunos thinking that due to its location, the food would be geared to tourists' tastes. The breakfast menu is small and primarily New Mexican/Mexican. However, there are several standard choices. My huevos rancheros with Christmas was good but it was lukewarm and my over medium eggs were very soft. However, the refritos were smoky and very tasty, but the hash browns were not crispy. Both the red and green chile were only mildly hot but flavorful. My husband's burrito was large and stuffed full of his chosen ingredients. Portions are large but prices are high for comparable dishes in Albuquerque. Service was ok but not exceptional. The environment is nice, reflecting both old and new Mexico. There is a large fireplace in the lobby just outside the restaurant and its warmth was welcome on an unusually cloudy and cold day.

Excellent food, good, short wine list, great service; fun, interesting restaurant. We both said that it was like being in a different city. It has an urban, international feeling. I've not been to Spain. I hope restaurants there are like The Cellar. We went during balloon fiesta. The restaurant was crowded and busy, which was perfect. We did not try the paella. We had tapas, the selection was excellent and interesting. The food was very good, flavorful and not what you'll get at other local restaurants. Very much worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Given the name I expected the wine list to be heavy on Iberian wines to pair with tapas. Instead Iberian wines were maybe 15% of the wine list and offering ample selections of California Chardonnays and Cabernets available in most decent supermarket wine sections. We selected a very nice Rioja to go with our tapas and overall were satisfied with our food and wine. The kitchen seemed to suffer the same lack of imagination offering pretty standard but well prepared tapas. Prices were reasonable and I can recommend this place with the aforementioned caveats.
