Whether you're into history, culture, outdoor adventures or just in need of some new and unique scenery, Albuquerque offers exciting attractions for all ages and interests, anytime of the year. In the historic section of Old Town, ancient Indian and Spanish cultures come to life through old churches, quaint shops and piazzas, winding brick paths and adobe benches. Browsers can spend a whole day making their way through the more than 100 stores, boutiques and galleries that sell Southwestern goods as well as unique products from around the world. During the winter holiday season, Old Town is adorned with small lit candles and thousands come to stroll through the streets, listen to live music and celebrate. It is truly a sight to see. But the history doesn't stop there. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the Petroglyph National Monument offer a glimpse of old Indian customs and art. Families will find plenty to do at the Albuquerque Biological Park, which features a zoo, aquarium and botanic garden. Outdoor types will find ample opportunities for hiking, biking and golf. After working up an appetite, head to any number of fine restaurants that serve up a choice of hot or even hotter New Mexican cuisine. To top it all off, take a ride on the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway for spectacular views of all this vibrant city has to offer.

Old Town Pizza Parlor

Ordered a pizza online. Showed my card to what I thought was to verify the purchase but ended up being double charged. $50 for a mediocre 16” pizza. Then I am told they don’t have a website to order off of (literally ordered off of oldtownpizzaparlorabq.com) Talked to someone else who says they do have website but nothing can be done until Monday. After being on hold for a long period of time she says it can be refunded if I give her my three digit verification code on the back of my credit card, which of course I’m not comfortable with. I ended up driving back So they could run my card. When I went in, Savannah had the audacity to ask me “why I let her charge me twice?” Apparently because she doesn’t know how to do her job correctly. Instead of being apologized to for having to drive all the way back and double charged, the servers were rude and made it seem like it was my fault for getting charged twice. I asked to speak to a manager and the two girls say it’s only them on a Saturday night. They need to be taught some basic customer service skills if anything. Pizza wasn’t worth the hassle.

At Il Vicino you order at the counter and then sit, but they do have someone to help you find a table and get you set up. From there on it feels like a full service restaurant. Overall, it's a nice combination. Had originally feared it wouldl be too casual a pizza joint. But, once you sat down the service was top notch. The burrata with pizza dough wedges was really great. The Caesar salad was great too (and a bit spicy!) . I must say the pizza was a bit disappointing- had been hoping for delicious crust a la other brick oven pizza places. This crust was pretty drab and a big disappointment. But, for the atmosphere and the other food, definitely recommend it if you are in the Nob Hill area.

Had lunch here with my son for the first time. The pizza was very good, but the bathrooms were really dirty. Prices were a little high for a slice. The lines were really long, but we didn't have to wait too long. I probably will try it again, but I sure hope the cleanliness of the place improves.
