Reviews on Seafood food in Atlantic City, New Jersey, United States. It's the East Coast's answer to Las Vegas. Atlantic City's casinos draw tourists by the car- and bus-load, but even if your main objective is to play some blackjack, you'll want to save time for sightseeing. Stroll along the famous boardwalk with its numerous amusements and eateries or visit the historic, recently restored Absecon Lighthouse. Several fine courses attract golf enthusiasts, and in summer, local beaches are popular with families. Water-based activities include parasailing, charter fishing and tall ship cruises. Casino hoppers have 12 establishments to choose from, which run the gamut from elegance to a Wild West theme, so there's something for everyone's taste. Those who remember Atlantic City in its pre-gambling days can wax nostalgic with a taste of saltwater taffy, which has been an Atlantic City specialty for over 100 years.

Went for dinner. I called ahead and was told there was no wait. I was staying at the Tropicana so we came right down from the room. We asked to sit inside verse outside. Two employees at the hostess station and they both seemed clueless. Then two more couples came in after us and I thought their head was going to explode. We were seated after about 5-10 minutes. Place had a lot of open seating so I don't understand what the hold up was. I asked for kids menu and I was told they don't have one but they can make grilled cheese sandwich for kids. So were ordered the two grilled cheese sandwiches and food for us. This place is a la carte. Nothing comes with any sides. Nothing exciting here, plain bar food.

Stopped in Sunday evening around 7:00 pm and the place was dead. We were seated right away and our server was alright, not the friendliest. We were aware of the 4% added to check if using credit card which we were alright with, but when I seen the note at the bottom of bottom menu saying "parties over 5 or checks totaling $60.00 or more would be charged a 19% gratuity". What are they thinking, I said to our waitress --- and this is why the place is dead on a Sunday evening. She just shrugged her shoulders. Our ribs were very good, nothing special but I think we will stick with other places in the area. Not sure when they changed their policies. Oh yeah, don't try to get take-out because they do not offer it....

Hubby and I were here to celebrate our October birthdays. The service (Thanks Mario!)was outstanding as well as the meal.We had reservations for 7:30PM on a Saturday night so when we arrived we were seated right away. For starters we shared the fried calamari. Prepared to perfection. For our main courses, hubby decided on the rib eye and I chose the 8 oz filet minon. With a side order of mashed potatoes and baby spinach we were ready to enjoy our feast of a meal. Both steaks also prepared to perfection.Unfortunately we did not have any coffee or dessert- we were way too full to eat another bite. All in all great meal and great service. Another Great Birthday celebration.

I had the Guinness burger. Phenomenal. Mussels were great, a couple other dishes were ok. Service was decent. But for a place with Ale House in the name, surprising to have less than a half dozen beers on tap, at 8 bucks a pint no less. The place seems built for, as is promoted through, beer. Please make it right.

A terrific seafood restaurant in the ground level of Bally's Park Place.Owned and operated by the family which established Atlantic City's finest seafood restaurant back in the 1800s, the family which currently owns Atlantic City's finest restaurant, Harry's is casual seafood dining. Oysters, clams, shrimp, lobster, crab . . . you name it, they've got it; and it's all fresh and delicious. For lunch I had a 1 lb lobster, and a salad. Both fresh and delicious. For dinner I had 1/2 portion of their cold seafood sampler . . . 3 oysters, 3 clams, 2 shrimp, 1/2 lobster and ceviche, and a side order of linguini. Absolutely delicious, all of it!And did I mention the horse radish? If you love horse radish like I do, I'll tell you now, this is the real deal! You have been warned!A really great seafood restaurant. And an quiet oasis to get out of the noise and activity of the casino environment. This place is a big win.

Dinner for 4 on a Tuesday night was great. We had a reservation for 7pm, arrived about 530p, figured we would have a drink at the bar for a while before sitting for dinner but the bar was jammed, no seats available so we went to front desk and they graciously arranged a beautiful water view table for us. When we said we weren't in a hurry and wanted to just enjoy our drinks for a while before ordering dinner, our server (Brianna) was very accommodating and made a great suggestion for ordering an appetizer platter which we could nibble while we sipped our drinks. We got a delightful, tasty bruschetta combo with numerous tidbits and quantity sufficient for the 4 of us, a real treat. Our dinners (3 steaks and a salmon) were great, quite pricey, but well prepared and very tasty. Terrific experience overall.Thank you so much for your golden review. Knife & Fork Inn

Reviewed By Dianne C

The Knife & Fork, which I last visited about 50 years ago, continues to have a wonderful ambience as well as remarkable longevity in a tough business. However, our meal was disappointing. It could have been excellent but missed the mark in important ways. The highlight was a wonderful lobster bisque with deep flavor and color and generous bits of lobster. Couldn't have been better. The low point was the generic supermarket quality bread. In between was our entrees. The lamb lollipop chops and halibut seemed to be of excellent quality and were very ample in their portions (indeed too ample for us). However, both were sadly overlooked to the degree that we ate relatively little of them. We did not want to send them back and have to wait for a second try, but I was surprised that our waiter carried away half full plates without asking whether something was wrong in a restaurant of this stature. Let this be a warning to emphasize how you want your food cooked.

Dock's Oyster House

When you pull into the parking lot, a valet will take your vehicle and you can simply head for the door. On a weeknight off season (October) there was no line. We were seated immediately without having made reservations. I would not advise just dropping in during the summer, it'll be quite busy.Lovely rooms, table settings, and decor. Excellent wait staff and a menu mostly concentrated on seafood. We judge a restaurant by its calamari, and Dock's is excellent: lightly battered, tender, and served hot. The Maine clam chowder is creamy with mussels and clams served in the shell. The seafood risotto was a special and off-the-chart delicious. Most people were dressed in "nice casual" style.
