I love Kelsey's. I make this stop a priority whenever I am in Atlantic City. The brunch is fantastic. EVERYTHING is delicious! The service is great. Our waiter was Steve and he was so polite and patient. Whatever we needed, he was right there to give it to us. The atmosphere is lively. You should really make this one of your 1st stops when you are in Atlantic City.

As frequent visitors to Atlantic City, we were delighted to find this hidden gem. We will never eat breakfast or brunch anywhere else again. The coffee is excellent, the omelets amazing, the pancakes the best since my grandmother's (and that is really saying something!) and the service friendly and efficient. Love dining outside overlooking the waters of Gardner's Basin, and the rustic nature provides the perfect contrast to cold casino blandness. Way to go Gilchrist! Keep up the EXCELLENT work!

Morton's in Atlantic City used to be an automatic very good meal. And recently it is slipping and slipping to the point where it is awful. The manager is very nice but must be overwhelmed in the sea of mediocrity. The whole restaurant is dingy the waitstaff is boring and the food is subpar. After 600 dollars I have nothing nice to say about this place

Knife & Fork Inn

Reviewed By Dianne C

The Knife & Fork, which I last visited about 50 years ago, continues to have a wonderful ambience as well as remarkable longevity in a tough business. However, our meal was disappointing. It could have been excellent but missed the mark in important ways. The highlight was a wonderful lobster bisque with deep flavor and color and generous bits of lobster. Couldn't have been better. The low point was the generic supermarket quality bread. In between was our entrees. The lamb lollipop chops and halibut seemed to be of excellent quality and were very ample in their portions (indeed too ample for us). However, both were sadly overlooked to the degree that we ate relatively little of them. We did not want to send them back and have to wait for a second try, but I was surprised that our waiter carried away half full plates without asking whether something was wrong in a restaurant of this stature. Let this be a warning to emphasize how you want your food cooked.

As soon as we got to Atlantic City, we asked about restaurants. The first thing anyone said was, "Kelsey and Kim's." The first time there, Farris was our waiter. Great service, and he made sure we had everything we needed. The fried catfish was perfect, and the collard greens were great. We went back, and had Brandon as our waiter. Again, stellar service. The brisket was tender and flavorful, and the fried chicken was the best I've ever had. Breakfast our last day, and we were lucky enough to have Brandon again. He remembered we use hot sauce, didn't have to ask, and kept the coffee mugs full while we were there. The grits were awesome, and the chicken and waffles was enough to feed a family! Great place. Great atmosphere. Stellar service. Recommend it highly.

We live in Pittsburgh but when we drive to Atlantic City the White House is always our first stop and we usually stop there on the way out to get one for the road. I'm not big on cold sandwiches but there Italian sub is the best. Delicious meat and cheese and the fresh bread, fantastic! And now that they have a location in The Hard Rock makes them even more accessible. You will not leave hungry.

When you pull into the parking lot, a valet will take your vehicle and you can simply head for the door. On a weeknight off season (October) there was no line. We were seated immediately without having made reservations. I would not advise just dropping in during the summer, it'll be quite busy.Lovely rooms, table settings, and decor. Excellent wait staff and a menu mostly concentrated on seafood. We judge a restaurant by its calamari, and Dock's is excellent: lightly battered, tender, and served hot. The Maine clam chowder is creamy with mussels and clams served in the shell. The seafood risotto was a special and off-the-chart delicious. Most people were dressed in "nice casual" style.

Dinner for 4 on a Tuesday night was great. We had a reservation for 7pm, arrived about 530p, figured we would have a drink at the bar for a while before sitting for dinner but the bar was jammed, no seats available so we went to front desk and they graciously arranged a beautiful water view table for us. When we said we weren't in a hurry and wanted to just enjoy our drinks for a while before ordering dinner, our server (Brianna) was very accommodating and made a great suggestion for ordering an appetizer platter which we could nibble while we sipped our drinks. We got a delightful, tasty bruschetta combo with numerous tidbits and quantity sufficient for the 4 of us, a real treat. Our dinners (3 steaks and a salmon) were great, quite pricey, but well prepared and very tasty. Terrific experience overall.Thank you so much for your golden review.
