It took ages for the main course to arrive. Waited for 45 mins with an empty plate infront of us, then they appologized and said that our main course was handed over to another table by mistake.

Had a light lunch here. It was really tasty we tried the pea pie which was a bit like a samosa in puff pastry. And then I had pasta pie. It was just that. Pasta in lovely sauce with puff pastry top. Brilliant hosts Mike and Mary. Made very welcome and enjoyed good beer and wine at very reasonable prices. Hoping to return to Malta in 12 months time and Charlie's will be our first port of call. Keep the Hopleaf pale topped up for our return Mike. Cheers

Stop for a quick drink before heading back down into Melieha Bay. Stayed for a few drinks before deciding to have lunch, after seeing how good the food looked. Safe to safe we weren't disappointed. I had the pizza with chicken, bacon and Maltese cheese, beautifully cooked and tasty. My mum had the omelette and salad which was perfectly cooked. Staff were very friendly, talkative and welcoming. Great music playing as well as a TV for sport with the volume on it down. Priced very well. Great value for money and drinks available for all, such as ales not just lagers. Would recommend to anyone in the melieha bay area.

Lovely place, great staff very friendly, staff worked hard. The two guys made you feel very welcomed.Nice location to have a drink and a game of pool.The atmosphere is great, the decor in the bar is fantastic ( wooden pallets), just loved the idea, had a rustic feel Some thing different. As a family of four this restaurant offered fantastic tasting food at what I would say an amazing price!! My children are not your childrenâs meal children!! Opting for salmon, curry etc the menu was very varied and they toned down down my spice levels for me !!The chef also made a personal visit to our table to make sure all was god !!!!!!! We arrived late to our hotel so 120 seemed the answer.We were fed and watered,the manager was very helpful.We ordered drinks and a meal.The meal was prepared by our hotel and was super.We ordered a chicken Caesar Salad and a Smoked Salmon Salad.Both were plentiful and fresh.The bar itself caters for all those who like sport in particular football,there are TVs ab=nd a screen to view the matches,along with a Pool table. have been going to this bar long before the current owners always a nice friendly atmosphere not any more can't get to bar for people sat in the way staff only like to serve the regulars .This is not the first time this has been the case but it will be the last won't be going again which is a shame as it used to be a lovely place but all good things come to an end especially when the customer is not valued my money can be spent anywhere .Im sorry to hear this but for us all clients are the same and we try to serve all of our clients the best possible.What was the date of visit pls?ThanksOwner

Would highly recommend the Ocean Bar.This is an amazing little restaurant, the service is just outstanding, and hospitality is fantastic.The meals are huge portions and great value for the prices too.Few times we used the Ocean Bar, and each time we got an excellent service.Compliments to the chef and to the waitress as they both worked very hard and to provide a excellent service for there customers.If any one goes out for meal go to the ocean bar well worth it....
