Very accessible, on the main street leading to the promenade (which is lovely to view at night with excellent colourful lighting). A friendly welcome in an attractive, bright room.Service was very efficiently provided by an excellent waiter who had obvious professional training.The food was lovely but be warned - portions are large. The four of us all made a separate main course order - three portions would have been ample!Now the surprise. On paying the bill we were treated to a free large glass of port each. No great shock there as that is quite common. But, ----- the waiter left the bottle. Sadly we were too well mannered to go for seconds!

This restaurant is situated in the popular Hotel Meira so often full of residents. Nevertheless the choice is good although sadly, although we have eaten fish and meat dishes at many restaurants in Portugal, the fish here was dry and not well presented at all. Hopefully a one off mistake? We stopped by for dinner and were seated outside on the deck. We were warmly greeted and orders were taken quickly, food delivered fresh and delicious. The house bacalao is very flavorful and the portions generous. Service is very friendly and professional, definitely recommended.

This has been excellent for 30 years, since I first came. One of your reviewers commented that the menu had not changed in that time, but if you have the very freshest fish and seafood, only the very simplest cooking is needed to maximise the flavour. Where else couls you get soup, a generous portion of turbot for 2 and desserts with good wine for 40 Euros? Go here and have the best fish you will ever get.

Just last week we had the chance to dine at this restaurant and had a good time. The service was friendly and they were able to find us a table quickly enough.From the 5 pizzas we ordered only one was not to our liking. It was just too intense for our taste as it had mozzarella, tomato, salmon, cheese and balsamic vinegar from Modena. The taste was good for a slice, but too strong for a whole pizza.The other pizzas were pretty good. My favorite was the margarita aiming for perfection.Thank you very much for your feedback. Hope to see you again at our restaurant!

Decided to go out for pizza as a treat for our kids who have been good sports and tried local dishes for past week. Pizzas were delicious and the staff were very friendly. Restaurant had a great atmosphere and was really pretty. Highly recommend.

I haven't actually eaten at the restaurant, but we have ordered Pizza to take home and they have a huge selection that are made up fresh while you wait. It's nice to sit outside with the ocean view and have a beer or a glass of wine while you wait. The Pizza is always good and fresh and hot. Highly receommend.

We chose this place based on its location with views across the beach towards setting sun, but were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal.The menu is mainly fish dishes or steak. The fish dishes were priced per kg and we got the impression that availability varied from day to day. The host actually showed us a choice of fish and gave us an idea of weight and price - we shared on delicious sea bass between two for 30 euros, served with roasted potatoes and vegetable selection.Ours sons wanted steak and the host suggested they shared a dish (total 20 euros) which turned out to be more than enough meat for two hungry teenagers!Waiter spoke excellent English. We were given a table by the window overlooking the beach (it was too windy to sit outside). Other diners seemed to be mostly locals.

Next door to the Albergue. It's dam good. The squid with potatos and vegetables was tops.Excellent service. Staff who appreciate guests.Prices are a little above the average but the quality and value for money is much above the average.I looked around and wished there was two of us because I doubt I could have tucked away meals for two.Fantastic value.

The food was amazingly good we ate: Bife da Fortaleza, Lulas Grelhadas and Posta da Fortaleza. Also, the portions are huge! Most of the 2 people portions are enough for 3 people. The staff was helpful, friendly and playful. The restaurant it self was quite warm even with the fans but it was bearable. Totally recommend going there, most likely the best restaurant in this whole area. Prices are fair also, Bife da Fortaleza was around 10 euros but the amount of food we got was worth the double of it.
