The food at this restaurant was lovely. I went for the veal and have never had so much meat on my plate. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We must also make special mention to Anna, a local lady who sorted us out in putting our requests to the waiters and translating for us. She was an absolute star! It cost €180 for nine of us to eat, drink and thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Thanks to all

We had a nice lunch at this smart sea front restaurant. My wife ordered a medium Pizza and I ordered a 'Brazilian-Style Skewer'! What arrived was the biggest deep-pan pizza you have ever seen and enough beef to feed 4!! Wow - what an amazing restaurant if you are a hearty eater! I have never seen such large portions at such a reasonable price. We decided that the tbone steak looked nice at 17 euros each - we were told that they were very big and really one between two was enough - and it certainly was! Looking at other tables it seemed that the food was beautifully served and plentiful

This restaurant had the best panoramic sea views you could ever wish to find - and the food wasnt bad either!! Great steaks and sea food. Good service and helpful staff. We ate there 3 times during a week's stay in a local apartment!

If you're coming from the beach and you don't want to go home, take a shower, go out again, you can try fonte nova. Very informal environment and good food.

I went to this restaurant with family for lunch and we had seafood extremely fresh and very well prepared! Fantastic taste! It's a good restaurant for eating fish, seafood, as well as other normal traditional dishes. It has a good wine list too. The space is quite large, divided into two areas (a smaller cozier one and a larger area). I highly recommend this restaurant for a fantastic eating experience.

My favourite place in the north of Portugal. The food is cheap but amazing and super tasty. It is a family restaurant where locals go, so you should go to. I go at least once per year because I love how they prepare sardines (sardinhas). Don't miss it!

Best place in Ancora for fresh whole fish - the owner has several boats, and everything is as fresh as can be - they show you the fish before preparing it....preparation is simple and presentation unremarkable, but the food is very tasty, served with a wonderful view of the ocean.

Wonderful tasty Tapas. Fresh, home made & very yummy. Friendly helpful staff who recommended dishes from the menu for us as our Portuguese is non existent! Loved it so much we shall be returning on Monday. Can definitely see why this restaurant is rated number 1 on trip advisor.

This is how you like it: simple but great food. Big pieces of fish and meat wonderfully grilled. Perfect quality. It takes a little search to find this gem, but it is worth the tour! Very friendly staff. Will certainly be back here!
