We stopped here late afternoon for a quick bite and were not disappointed. The hubs had a slice of pepperoni pizza, and I had an order of garlic knots. The garlic knots were fantastic, best I've had in a long time. The pizza slice was of a good size, definitely enough for a meal. We had those and one drink for about $8. What a bargain. Even though it was fairly early in the evening, they were already doing some decent takeout business.

I very seldom rate a restaurant the lowest rating. We have tried this place three times and have always been disappointed. We ate in the first time and the food was awful. The last two times we called in for a pizza and both times the order has been lost. We had to wait while they made the pizza. Both times it came out soggy, half done and was real crap. They offered no reduction in price and their price is twice of what others charge. Never again. Beware!!

My wife and I have eaten pizza in Italy and all over NYC and we both agree that this is the best pizza in eastern NC. The location is out of the way unless you are driving to or from New Bern on Hwy 17 south of the city. The ambience is "strip mall" and they don't have beer so for us, it is a takeout place but I've got to give Mr James Panichelli credit and 5 stars for bringing an authentic pie to Eastern NC.

Our first visit. We found the service very good, the food arrived quickly and was very good. We will definitely return and tell others about it. The spacious seating was great. The atmosphere so nice. Cannot say enough about how nice it was.

I ate at La Casetta while in New Bern on business and was very pleasantly surprised at how excellent it was. It is a smaller family run place, with friendly and gracious service. A very good wine selection. Lots of pizza and pasta choices, along with some chicken and veal Italian options. Not too many good seafood or beef entrees. A great Italian dessert selection, although the cannoli was more for two than one. A very nice place especially for New Bern.

We went here after trying two other places in town and not happy with those. This place is very, very good. We had the meat lovers deep dish pizza, it was the best!! The bread in his recipe is so delicious. The ice tea is also very good. Want to go back and try their calzone to see if it is good.

Wife & I were visiting from the northeast (home of great Italian food) and wanted to see how New Bern Italian food stacked up. My wife had the lobster ravioli and it was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly (al dente) and the sauce and filling were wonderful. I had the trio- lasagna, chicken parm & fettuccine alfredo. Excellent red sauce & again the noodles were cooked to perfection.

I was surprised to see so many wonderful selections on the menu. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, and although I got messy making the pita pockets myself, it was worth it. Great taste, very filling, and the tzatziki sauce was perfect. Make sure to visit the bakery for some fantastic desserts and coffee!
