Our daughter was told on short order that her school had to evacuate with a hurricane on the way. Three of her friends had no where to go. Labor Day weekend, and they're all heading to our home until they can return to school. Last day of the first week of school with five hungry teens on the way, and three of us already here. What to do? Pizza Hut! My wife picked up five pizzas that were ordered ahead and ready to pick up after work. We're ready for a houseful of company! Thanks, Pizza Hut! We can count on consistently good pizza. Dine in, take out. They have a salad bar, plenty of parking, and well-located near shopping.

OK, I'll admit up front and personal I LIKE ANCHOVIES!!! if you don't - skip the rest of this .... but my very favorite pizza in the WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD is a Black Olive and Anchovy Pizza! Thin crust, and nothing but good marinara, cheese, anchovies and black olives. And GINA'S on Hwy 17 E in New Bern knows how to do it right! My husband does not, period, no questions asked, like anchovies -- so this is totally MY review! He likes all he 'garbage' you can pile on -- NOT pizza in my book!

We stopped here late afternoon for a quick bite and were not disappointed. The hubs had a slice of pepperoni pizza, and I had an order of garlic knots. The garlic knots were fantastic, best I've had in a long time. The pizza slice was of a good size, definitely enough for a meal. We had those and one drink for about $8. What a bargain. Even though it was fairly early in the evening, they were already doing some decent takeout business.

I very seldom rate a restaurant the lowest rating. We have tried this place three times and have always been disappointed. We ate in the first time and the food was awful. The last two times we called in for a pizza and both times the order has been lost. We had to wait while they made the pizza. Both times it came out soggy, half done and was real crap. They offered no reduction in price and their price is twice of what others charge. Never again. Beware!!

My wife and I have eaten pizza in Italy and all over NYC and we both agree that this is the best pizza in eastern NC. The location is out of the way unless you are driving to or from New Bern on Hwy 17 south of the city. The ambience is "strip mall" and they don't have beer so for us, it is a takeout place but I've got to give Mr James Panichelli credit and 5 stars for bringing an authentic pie to Eastern NC.

Our first visit. We found the service very good, the food arrived quickly and was very good. We will definitely return and tell others about it. The spacious seating was great. The atmosphere so nice. Cannot say enough about how nice it was.

We went here after trying two other places in town and not happy with those. This place is very, very good. We had the meat lovers deep dish pizza, it was the best!! The bread in his recipe is so delicious. The ice tea is also very good. Want to go back and try their calzone to see if it is good.

I was surprised to see so many wonderful selections on the menu. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, and although I got messy making the pita pockets myself, it was worth it. Great taste, very filling, and the tzatziki sauce was perfect. Make sure to visit the bakery for some fantastic desserts and coffee!
