In low season this is only open for lunch during the week, all day Friday and Saturday. Lunch is set price with limited choice. Depending on your choice it's excellent value for money (8â¬) or a disaster. Beer and both starters were ok, good salad but my main course was uncooked chicken and soggy chips, the cod cakes were just ok. Deserts both looked like creme brûlée though we ordered one Apple tart and one ice cream?! The cafe was well frequented by Spanish business travellers and was more like a transport cafe than a restaurant. Have a picnic or eat in!!

I rarely rate a place as excellent as I feel it is an overused word but in this instance it is thoroughly deserved. The food was of an exceptional standard. We went for what I suppose could be called a tasting menu but also with a main dish, there were 6 starter type dishes followed by a main rice based dish. Everything was of the highest standard and I could not fault them on anything. The service was good and we were there on what I would suppose is one of their busiest Saturdays, the Segorbe bull run. Staff were friendly and it has a wonderful atmosphere. I would go out of my way to return.Dear Customer,Thanks for your visit and your words. We are convinced that they are the best letter of introduction for other travelers who have enjoyed a few days of the Segorbe holidays.Do not miss the mushroom menu in autumn, the Segorbina Pot in winter and the Tapa Route in spring.

Think this might be their first English review ; little or no tourists up in the hills behind Valencia.But if by chance an English reading ( speaking) tourist happens along the way of this little bar/ restaurant and sees this review they might just want to pop in and sample the typically Spanish rural food.I say typically , but this was far more than typical , it was outstanding ; obviously homemade , perfectly cooked food. Had the menu del dia ,which in most cases are limited choice of starters and mains . Not here , 6 choices of both starter and main and not your usual everyday fare.The highlight being Partridge , which the owner hilariously described to us from his hand written menu , in graphic wing flapping detail , to everyone in the barâs amusement !Suffice to say the food was all just how you would wish and more from any restaurant , no matter the rating and all for 11.00e each.Gracias chico.Muy muy bien .J y A De Escocia
