Think this might be their first English review ; little or no tourists up in the hills behind Valencia.But if by chance an English reading ( speaking) tourist happens along the way of this little bar/ restaurant and sees this review they might just want to pop in and sample the typically Spanish rural food.I say typically , but this was far more than typical , it was outstanding ; obviously homemade , perfectly cooked food. Had the menu del dia ,which in most cases are limited choice of starters and mains . Not here , 6 choices of both starter and main and not your usual everyday fare.The highlight being Partridge , which the owner hilariously described to us from his hand written menu , in graphic wing flapping detail , to everyone in the barâs amusement !Suffice to say the food was all just how you would wish and more from any restaurant , no matter the rating and all for 11.00e each.Gracias chico.Muy muy bien .J y A De Escocia

Cena de amigos, mucha cantidad en la raciones, muy buen género, servicio rápido y camareras amables, pero...... hay muchas moscas. Hoy en dÃa hay remedio para esto, y es incómodo y antihigiénico.

Nos hablaron de ellos y no nos creiamos lo que nos contaban. Y se quedaron cortos. La horchata buenisima y muy natural, pero hacen todo tipo de granizados de frutas, exquisitos. Y además a unos precios increibles, para la cantidad que ponen. Repetiremos muchas más veces.

Good local bar, tapas and food are freshly prepared and are tasty. The staff are very nice and helpful (even if your Spanish is not at all fluent... ;-) )

BuenÃsimo. Lo que pidas, tanto para comer como para cenar (en este caso recomiendo pedir tapas). El precio? Súper asequible. Tiene menú, carta, y vale la pena dejarse aconsejar /sorprender. Todo está delicioso.

A restaurant like a dining hall. Very big. The "chef" walks around in his kitchen clothes, but that is just a gimmick: he is never in the kitchen. The atmosphere is zero. The service is bad. You will have to fight to get their attention.The food is nothing special, but the menu is 23 euro... that is almost michelin prices, and the food and service were, well, normalSspanish, 10 euro worth, maybe 12.When we complained about the price and the arrogance, nothing was done. He would "think about it".This is a restaurant of a "chef?" who thinks he is much much better than he is. It is normal menu del dia food. Nothing special. The service is below average. This is the menu for 23 euro a headA platter of cheese, minimal and nothing special.A salad with supermarket smoked salmon, drenched in cheap balsamico.A pigs head pate, with an awful textureFollowed by a a piece of Hake with a slimy sauce and some grilled veggies.Desert .. well, flan or ice cream.This owner needs to realise he is not Gordon Ramsay. He is not Michelin worthy. He cant really run a decent kitchen. And for 23 euro? Pff. Never go there

What a surprise for 11 euro's! Including a bottle of good wine.. They speak no english but thats no problem. There is only a menu with choice of 3 suggestions.

In low season this is only open for lunch during the week, all day Friday and Saturday. Lunch is set price with limited choice. Depending on your choice it's excellent value for money (8â¬) or a disaster. Beer and both starters were ok, good salad but my main course was uncooked chicken and soggy chips, the cod cakes were just ok. Deserts both looked like creme brûlée though we ordered one Apple tart and one ice cream?! The cafe was well frequented by Spanish business travellers and was more like a transport cafe than a restaurant. Have a picnic or eat in!!
