Known as the Sumter Metropolitan Statistical Area, the namesake county adjoins Clarendon and Lee to form the core of Sumter-Lee-Clarendon tri-county area of South Carolina, an area that includes the three counties in the east central Piedmont. The population was 39,643 at the 2000 census, and it rose to 40,524 at the 2010 census.

I was overwhelmed with the amounts of food. Servers were careful to restock foods when they were low. Sushi made fresh at the sushi bar and you can create your own meal for the chef to cook while you wait at the grill. Amazing food and you get a military or senior citizen discount!

I am not a big Chinese food fan, but I absolutely love the crab Rangoon! They are huge and delicious! An order of that and some fried rice and it is a full meal. The people there are friendly and very helpful! JinJin is open late.

Based on TA ratings, we had a great dinner at this no-frills establishment. But in choosing between a fasihonable, well appointed interior and finding authentic, freshly prepared, and indescribably delicious meals that in part come from the owner/operators container garden behind the restaurant for Thai herbs, I'll choose the one with the garden out back any day! The owner/chef's English language skills are rudimentary, (none-the-less far greater than my Thai language skills!), but her suggestions and her willingness to craft a meal based on your desires was unsurpassed. If you're looking for a quick meal of pre-prepared ingredients, this isn't the place to go. What we found was a restaurant where everything was prepared specifically for us and it took the right amount of time to prepare such a meal. Additionally, the portions were enough to have lunch for two the next day... and prices more than reasonable. Heretofore, I have not found a place in Sumter worth our 40 minute drive from home, but happily, now I have. We'll be back soon and often.

If you enjoy hibachi then this is the place. Don't expect someone to cook in front of you and throw shrimp but the quality and taste of this food is better then most "high end" hibachi places. If you get the hibachi or teriyaki chicken, steak or shrimp (or any combination) you will get great hibachi rice, and cooked carrots. Speaking of the cooked carrots, they are amazing. (If you like cooked carrots). They are somewhat sweet and perfectly cooked everytime. The price is amazing as well. Hibachi chicken with all the fixins is about 6 bucks. Don't miss this place and don't judge the place on looks!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sumter. I've read some bad reviews of it in the past and didn't let that deter me. They have authentic Thai and Korean dishes, which I love and the portions are very generous for the price. I highly recommend the Beef Bulgogi or my personal favorite- Red Curry Beef.

In a word, I was disappointed with this restaurant. On an acquaintances' recommendation, I brought a colleague here specifically for the sushi and came to regret it. The selection was average at best and centered around what we presumed was easily available as frozen seafood (namely crab). We each ordered three different sushi entrees, so we could sample all six dishes. They were nearly indistinguishable from one another. The décor didn't help win us over either. All in all, not a place for sushi lovers.

We go here about once a month for a lighter change of pace from Hibachi across the street. Because of the variety and Mongolian Barbeque at Hibachi, it is the best value around, but Mon Cafe offers a different, familiar and tasty meal at reasonable prices.

This place has the best hibachi in the area. You're able to watch chef cook your food or sit down and have the food served. They also have a bar to sit at and the staff is warm and welcoming. The steak is always tender and the sauce they serve goes with everything. I always get full before I even put a dent in my plate! Try it!

I had dinner here with family. I tried the Pad Thai and Mama sushi. Both were wonderful. Service was very good. Waitress was very attentive and always kept our drinks full. Dining area is very dim lit and it has a definite cozy feel to it. The food is a little pricey but the portions are a very decent size. Everyone had to take a to go box. Their tea is very good. I would definitely return. There is a good variety on the menu.
