It’s IHOP. This restaurant was clean. Service was quick and friendly. I had a southwest scramble with pancakes. Pancakes - ok. Eggs - the texture of the scramble was strange but it tasted ok. Potatoes that came with it were good except for being way too salty.

We stayed one night in Sumter on our way to Virginia from Florida. Decided to give Sidebar a try even though out of the way. So glad we did. Our waitress Christine was adorable, the deviled egg tasted like my grandmothers (southern and tasty) great selection of wine and beer. The shrimp was outstanding. Came HOT to the table, light cornmeal crust and super sweet fresh . Unfortunately the brisket was chewy. It was fun to people watch.

Logan's Roadhouse

Reviewed By Wayne-Librarian

You’d expect a restaurant called ‘Roadhouse’ to be raucous, and while the ambience suggests it will be loud, at 7 PM on a Wednesday, we didn’t find it too noisy for conversation. Todd gave us very good service and chatted us up. Self-described as ‘the short, bald guy’, I’d call him good natured, attentive and garrulous. While there was no draft beer (problem with the CO2) and they were out of my first choice, that was a very minor issue. The bucket of peanuts on each table were nice and salty. Their Roadhouse soup was quite good, as was the house salad. We shared a T-bone steak which was tasty, tender, and perfectly cooked to medium-rare as ordered.

This place is amazing! First time coming to Eggs Up Grill for breakfast and I am amazed with the food, the cleanliness of the place, the restaurant design and the super friendly, and attentive staff. I have been in Sumter for about two weeks and I can bet that this is the best place to eat in town. My waitress was Jessica and she was extremely helpful going over the menu and even making recommendations. Jessica also did not let me along for very long periods of time, to the point that my coffee mug was never empty at any given time throughout my entire time at the restaurant. Thank you for great food and service!Thank you, Mario! We appreciate the great review and so happy to hear about your experience with us at Eggs Up Grill. We look forward to serving you again soon.

Had a wonderful lunch here with my daughter. Friendly service and awesome burgers. The decor is welcoming and nostalgic with pictures of athletes from yesteryear. The restaurant is vegan friendly with black bean burgers and the ability to make your own sandwiches. They have beer on draught and outdoor seating. Will definitely go back!

We had dinner here the other night with another couple. We had steaks, shrimp, crab, and an assortment of vegetables. Everything, down to the salad and bread was perfection. The service from the GM and from Caleb our waiter was memorable. This place is good enough to warrant a separate trip to Sumter, SC. Highest recommendations!

Willie Sues

Willie Sue’s has it “right”....period! Spot-on Service, a great menu backed-up with a first class kitchen, and an incredible bar offering. First, the menu....this is NOT a beer-and-burger joint with a few other offerings... NO, Willie Sues has a comprehensive menu, cutting across poultry, pork, fish, and beef, and at every price point, too.But if it’s a beer and a burger you want, you’ll get it, but short yourself the exploration of the complete, First-Class menu. We had the artichoke/spinach dip and the maple sugar crusted pork belly appetizers. Hot, right, and quick. The Caesar salad dressing was homemade and perfect. Fork-tender ribeyes and take home boxes topped it all off.The bar list is simply amazing and is nearly as large as the menu itself. Popular and even local craft beers, liquors of every kind and quality, and a very complete wine list of domestic and foreign varieties. This bar would be at home in any of the largest establishments in any major city we’ve visited - and we’ve visited quite a few.For us it was the first-class birthday dinner at a first-class, delightful establishment. As someone kinda said “Don’t leave Sumter without it - indulge”.We WILL be back and look forward to a return bout with that excellent menu!
