Nice but ...

I can't put more than 3 star unfortunately, They have to be more attentive about the guest's that don't respect the silence hours. I had the bad luck to have my room just in front of the elevator, room 419 (since the first night I had no chance to sleep at all during all my stay) so I pay to be awake all night as others guest just didn't care about the silence hours, and they where talking loudly and screaming during almost all night, on my second night, there were more than 10 people sited on the corridor outside the room after 11h30pm ( I reported it to reception). So sadly that the reception didn't care about my complain, they were just sorry, I would luckily appreciate a little gesture, but one even joke with me telling me if you didn't sleep I can offer you a coffee SERIOUS MAN ?? Ok is an Hostel but like everyone I pay my journey as well and I think to sleep it's a minimum requirement. For the rest nothing to say it was all really nice.

Sun light is my enemy

Stayed in Helsinki for an evening and I wasn’t too pleased with the single room I had, the place looked in dire need of a refurbishment. My biggest issue was that the room didn’t have curtains, only shutter blinds that don’t close all the way. In the summer, the sun rises at about 3am so the room was flooded with light and was unable to sleep from this.

warm welcome to finland

I decided for my first trip to Finland to start in Helsinki, and I chose the Yard Hostel. It is situated perfectly close to the station, but I have to admit: being tired after a long trip it was quite hard for me to find the hostel. Maybe I should have had a better look at the instructions sent via e-mail. But well, as I said, I was busy traveling. The hostel was super clean and whilst the bedrooms offered some privacy (beds with curtains), the lounge area was very inviting to communicate with your co-travelers. I enjoyed my stay there a lot and would fully recommend it!!

Never ever book this hotel!!

Reviewed By HonestAboutHotels

I stayed a long period and lost a lot of money to this crappy place. At last they gave me an offer (you can ask an offer if you stay longer) and when I accepted it they said I cannot get it - even they made me the offer!! - and said they got no rooms on that price and I can book more expensive options. And you'd easily see from the website that there's cheaper rooms and I accepted their offer right away even it'd have been valid 2 weeks. When I called them said they won't continue my reservation. And I had to wait every answer like a week btw. So if you want a hotel that you cannot trust and it advertises cheap deals even it only wants to trick you this is your place. If you don't want to support a non-trustable hotels go elsewhere.

Slept well for four nights.

Reviewed By ratsureima

Cheap prize and the central location attracts party people, but luckily i got a room from the more silent floor intended for business trips/work. Plesant stay. Got a good sleep 4 nights straight and that was everything I was hoping for. Compact room with a cozy bed, sofa, tv and a shower/bathroom unit. Only dissapointing thing was that I chose this location, because ofte near location to Yrjönkatu swimming hall, and the swimming hall was closed during my stay due to corona.

Love this place

Reviewed By adamd170689

This is my second time staying here and I love the character of the place . There is a beautiful old fashioned wooden lift where you have to pull the metal grate open . Then the actual hot is like staying in a traditional apartment from years ago - there is a beautifully decorated kitchen . Wonderful location and friendly staff, Thank you!
