Reviewed By Lucky_CraftWe stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Friendly staff, spacious, clean, quiet and well-equipped rooms (wonderful bed!), decent breakfast. We were impressed by the amenities the hotel offered: bike rental, great sauna, communal kitchen, children's room and fitness/playing room. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at.

Nice location, comfortable bed
Reviewed By Arne TI stayed in this hotel for One Night. The Room was small and the bathroom was very small. The toilet Seat was not attached to the floor which was bad. The location is Good within a shopping centre and in the city centre. I thought that the hotel breakfast was Good, but quite sparse compared with many other hotels. Everything was Good and I enjoyed it.

Reviewed By 187duncOverall this place is ok. However there were a few little minus points. The room is pleasant enough, with a nice en-suite bathroom. Though i wasn't too sure about whether i wanted to use the communal shower sponge. It seemed a little odd that you'd have something that hundreds of other people may have used. So the room was ok and the subsequent breakfast that came with it. So the negatives. I mean these weren't huge negatives, but they did leave a bitter aftertaste. The first would be the host. Now this could be a translation thing, but it did feel that they weren't really interested in me being there. Secondly they openly tried to over charge me. Now i did question this when it came for me to leave and I was repaid. The second thing was the hosts recommendation for dinner. The host gave me a flyer for a nearby pizza delivery place. When i tried to order a pizza they were rude and simply put the phone down on me. Now i know the host isn't to blame for that, but I was put out by it. So it's an ok place.

Bit disappointing
Reviewed By MarkoH645It was a bit disappointing place as our expectations were quite high. Quite crowded place and lots of screaming and running children, so not very suitable for people seeking for relaxation. Quite pricey so it was surprising you still had to pay extra for the sauna world. And the sauna world was huge disappointment as one of the saunas was out of order, steam sauna had no steam at all and other saunas were quite ordinary. Architecturally this place is quite ordinary 2000's building, so nothing spectacular nor pretty there. The old castle hotel looks nice but new buildings kinda overshadows it, and old and new doesn't really match. And it's kinda weird that it's located near lake Saimaa but you cannot even see the lake anywhere from the spa.

Reviewed By 831anssikOutside of hotel looks like scary film decoration. Gasthaus as it is. Simple interiors, plastic flours, office style ceilings. Can be suitable for sleeping in business trip. Was not nice at all to see girl from adult sites as staff (specially in this times when hygiene is so important).

Puhelinpalvelussa lyödään luuri korvaan kolmesti ja puhutaan erittäin huonoa suomea vaikka sivustolla on suomi palvelukielenä. Sähköposti ei voi olla ainoa tapa viestiä, varsinkaan jos asiakas on tulossa heti paikalle! Tulimme illalla noin kello 20:30 ollaksemme yhden yön ja lähdemme aamulla pois. Paikka oli lähes tyhjä, ei autoja sisäpihassa ollenkaan, jossa useita paikkoja. Päätin jättää auton siis sinne, toki varattu merkin omaavalle paikalle (niitä oli useita tyhjän) Tästä pahoittelut. Tämän firman asiakaspalvelu olikin sitten sellainen että laitetaan paperilappu yöllä auton ikkunaan ja lähetetän taas sähköpostia!! Oikea tapa olisi ollut siis soittaa ja pyytää ystävällisesti siirtämään TAI jättää nyt se tekemättä koska emme häirinneet ketään ja lähdimme aamulla. MIKSI TEHDÄ NEGATIIVINEN ASIAKAKOKEMUS tämän vuoksi. Kaiken lisäksi he haukkuvat meidän maksavan asiakkaan julkisesti! EI NÄIN!

Free parking and short drive to town, where you have restaurants and other things you might want for a pleasant journey.

Huhtiniemi Camping is a beautiful and natural camping site by Lake Saimaa. Inside the 10 hectare you'll find camping cottages, designated spots for caravans and tents as well as a few holiday apartments. There are also service buildings, kitchens, barbeque areas and many other services at your full disposal. The area also has a few saunas, which you can rent and a nice beach. The reception, along with a café where we serve both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages is located at the main gate.
Quite basic but reasonable value for money
Reviewed By joelarchieStayed here for a couple of nights as there was nowhere reasonably priced to stay in the centre of Lappeenranta. Easy to reach with a 10-15 minute bus journey or half hour walk. The wooden cabins are very basic with a couple of bunk beds, a fridge and a small table. Toilets and kitchens are communal and also quite basic but clean enough and well-maintained. Not a lot of space and beds not very comfortable, but given what you pay it's perfectly fine for a night or two- probably not somewhere to stay for much longer.
