Reviewed By Nadia001We spent 3 amazing days at Quinta do Freixo. It is perfect for families with kids as they can see farm animals and enjoy the pool and the garden. The owners are a wonderful couple that takes care of every detail to make the guests feel at home. Internet connection is very good and the breakfast is home made and incredible. Much more than what we expected.

Reviewed By Fernando PRecently renovated building with spacious, comfortable and clean rooms. I got a private room which, besides an ensuite toilet, had air conditioning, heating and tv. Free wi-fi was available. Breakfast was great and the whole deal was a bargain. Staff (which I think was actually the owner) was extremely nice and helpful. You can park on the side of the road, in front of the guesthouse (no charge). City centre is 10 minutes away (walking distance). I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Rooms ok for the price BUT completely agressive owner
Reviewed By Jean-Baptiste HThe rooms are ok despite that 45 euros in that location might be seen as expensive anyway. However a number of points were not that ok and some even unseen before!!! -Swiming pool small in size but no safety protection for kids -dismantled scaffolding unsecured in the way to the pool (?) -Big dog barking and not attached -description of the rooms incorrect which could have saved us from booking 1 additional room -Unseen before: the owner had an inappropriate behaviour, shouting, being agressive and insulting towards us and threatening us to call the police, for what? the wifi not working at all we went to see him and asked if something could be done. A simple question ended up in the owner over reacting, becoming furious and agressive. Despite asking him to calm down he went ballistic and treated us like ... This is fact. We (french and portuguese) spent a VERY BAD moment there and will never go back.

Reviewed By Matilde FNice hotel , the staff is friendly and welcoming. We took our dog which loved to run around. The service was good. We had a problem with our shower and we’re immediately given another room. For lunch the options weren’t much which is the only down point of the hotel.

I ended up staying more because of the amazing hospitality of Teresa. Oh and while you are there be sure to check out the dark sky alqueva and attend a workshop of Mr Miguel Claro and Mr Nuno. I promise you this will be an experience of a lifetime. For transfers from Lisbon definitely contact Teresa to connect with Mr Roger , he is a historian who would blow your mind with his planning of Lisbon site seeing. You wouldn't have seen a sunset like that in your entire life. He just knows so much about the hidden gems of Portugal. A historian behind wheels :) Casa da Cumeada-It is a place where the host Teresa contacts you the day you click "BOOK" ,She plans how to get to the accommodation going through tireless amount of pages to figure out how you reach her place without any struggles. Yes its a place where food is prepared from ingredients from the garden(Vegan), yes its a place where you can see the stars from your window or garden ,yes its a place where the host takes you around the town because she doesn't want you to be "alone" during your stay. These are unheard concepts in modern hospitality. At least for me. I had never seen anything like this before. You HAVE to stay here to understand. If you "check out" of the place feeling anything different then my 3 million miles of travel before coming to Casa da Cumeada are worth nothing. Teresa...i am coming back

Reviewed By NunoR92The staff was amazing, very kind and helpful. There was a sense of family in this small property. The breakfast was great. Rooms were very clean, comfortable and quite big. The pool is not very big and the surroundings could use some TLC. Some new furniture and a bit of landscaping would make the place even nicer.

Ao chegar fomos alojados na residencial por cima do restaurante. O alojamento é de fraca qualidade em vários aspetos. Pedimos a limpeza do quarto não mudaram as toalhas molhadas, muito barrulhento, até perto das 2h da manha não se consegue dormir, como fomos para descansar foi terrível. O Preço cobrado foi excessivo para o serviço prestado. Senti-me enganada. Não recomendo.
