Small hotel in a small town

Reviewed By Ardi O

Scandic Salo is in the city centre, next to the river. Reception/breakfast staff was very friendly and offered good service. Hotel is small, but has sauna and gym. We had a superior plus room. Negative: - Some furniture needs upgrade. - Good bed, but too soft pillows. - Expencive minibar (f.e. 0,33 Fanta 5.50eur). - Bathroom cleanliness, dirty dishes - Small bathtub - Radio in TV not working well Positive: - Showergel, shampoo, soap in bathroom - Large balcony/terrace - Coffee/tea set - Enough space - One wide bed (not 2 pushed together) - Fridge Breakfast was average. Usual European breakfast. Fruits were abit old and cake had some mold on it. Scrambled eggs was good. Overall 3/5. Average hotel, but needs improvement.

Family trip

The hotel is located in one of the buildings of an old TV factory. A hotel without staff on site. With the booking, you get a little misleading information about the door code on the door with the booking, but enter the door code you receive. We had to give the door code 4 times before the door was opened. Tried to call the service number but got no answer it was the negative about this hotel. Otherwise a clean room with good bed comfort.

Marraskuiset päivät

Reviewed By lupaus48

Mathildedalin viehättävä kylä on tuttu jo monelta vuodelta. Hiljaisuus- luonnon laskeutuminen talveen luo oman viehätyksensä.

Excellent b&b with delicacies

Reviewed By AnemoneRi

We stayed here for 2 nights in summer high season (July) to get to know Mathildedalen's famous village atmosphere, and couldn't be happier! The house is a former school from 1920s and the rooms were beautiful, with shared bathrooms and a private entrance apart from the café. Still it was pure bliss to have afternoon tea; just a few steps across the corridor to the café side of the building and lovely chocolate all ready <3 Service was excellent and the breakfast too! Will definately visit this place again and the village.

If you don't find other place and only need to sleep.

Reviewed By Jarkko D

Consider this if you don't find anything else and you only need to sleep. Check in: I had to seek the customer service person for a while. After that it was easy. Room: 90's calling. Room was bit outdated. No air-conditioning (it was a hot summer day). Some hair from previous resident at bed. Room is good if you are only sleeping there. Breakfast: At previous day I got a false information about breakfast place. They told me it'll be at lobby. I went there and there was nothing. Then I got the new place. At breakfast only warm food was nasty looking porridge. Sure there was some bread, apple juice, some cereals and coffee. Very poor breakfast. Check out: Easy and fast.

Really nice camping

Reviewed By Tomi_Wickman

Open fire for bbq includes also wood. Good kitchen facilities. Clean sanitary and good water pressure on showers. Really friendly staff in the reception/bar/restaurant. We didn’t eat there, but the menu looked modest but adequate. Also breakfast available. The beach and mininigolf are good. No pitches but you can park freely on the open grass. There is a summer teather next to it, would be nice to visit that at the same time. Really nice place
