Hotel near National Park in Andasibe

Clean decent room. Stayed in bungalow with forest view. Surprisingly, no mosquito problem. There were no mosquito coils provided either. There was mosquito net. The bungalow was clean and had a loft bed in addition to the queen bed. There were two wall plug-ins, and one in the shower room. Toilet and shower rooms were separate. Reception was not very friendly, but was able to provide for basics. Internet was available only in restaurant and closed at 8pm Breakfast was supposed to be included in price, but turned out not to be. Accepts cards with a 5% handling charge. Reasonable accommodation for the price.

Paradise stay! To recommend :)

Reviewed By 24edid

We loved this place! Stone bungalows with a lot of character - ecotourism style - directly on a white beach with pristine turquoise water. Staff is great, food just amazing. Great ratio quality-price (there course menu with 3 langustas per person for 10 eur!). Bonus - you can watch sunset from your bed :) Be prepared for a dry toilet but it doesn’t really matter: it’s very clean with a window do watch the beach ?

Le Bon Endroit

Lots to do and see, wonderful host.

Reviewed By IvaF_4-7

This was the first place we stayed in a series of 3 throughout the island. My stay here was the most fun and the best value. Arnaud is genuinely kind, and made me feel like I was a guest in his home. He was a very attentive, gracious host. He has 4 dogs which I loved, but they were a bit more friendly than some people may prefer. The north of the island is far from most other tourists and there is a lot to see. Arnaud showed us for free a beautiful natural waterfall where you could swim. The kayaks were free to use. We paid him for scooters to visit the very northern tip of the island: the piscine naturelle was absolutely stunning, a sacred place to the Malagasy people. We had to pay to see it, and Arnaud didn't mention anything about paying, so I'm not sure if we were gypped. The room was simple, but nice enough for us. We only had cold water, but we didn't mind. I wish the porch had two chairs instead of just one so me and my husband could lounge there together. You can see and hear the beach from the porch. I wish I had asked for simpler options for lunch: the options were the same as for dinner. After two nights I couldn't bear the same few meal options anymore. Breakfast was very simple but good. Coffee, bread, mofo gasy, fruit, butter and jam.

Lodge De La Saline

Loved the food!

Reviewed By sweetolive999

We visited the Lodge de la Saline in late October 2019. It was extremely hot, but our room had air conditioning, which was a big relief. We appeared to be the only guests at the time, so it was very peaceful. We really appreciated the beauty of the grounds, which were very well maintained. All of the staff was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed the nature walks, especially the night walk where it seemed like there was a mouse lemur in every tree! We also enjoyed kayaking, which enables you to get closer to some of the birds without spooking them. We saw some beautiful malachite kingfishers, among many other species. The food here was also excellent. The meals were some of the best vegetarian meals that we had during our entire trip. I would definitely come back!

Espace Zongo

Pleasant Stop for Lunch

Reviewed By Rumples

En route from Isalo National Park to Ranomafana National Park by car, we stopped here for lunch. Throughout our exploration of southern Madagascar, we traveled with a driver and guide and had come to rely on their restaurant selections to be hygienic and to offer good food, acceptable for tourist stomachs. Espace Zongo was no exception. This attractive hotel offers red-tile-roofed bungalows: beautifully landscaped grounds, including at least one gorgeous, giant fan palm; and a menu with many choices. The building that holds the big dining room also provides seating on its porch. We opted to dine inside because of the cool, windy day. We proved to be the only customers at 1:30 p.m. and received excellent, attentive service. After looking at the menu (Malagasy and French dishes plus pizza), my husband and I both chose zebu. The orders came quickly and we agreed that the meat was tender and tasty. Our travel companions got their usual massive mound of rice with a vegetable sauce Before leaving, we used the incredibly clean toilets. We considered this to be absolute luxury, because we knew, that as usual, only bush stops by the road would be ahead. Espace Zongo is next to RN7 in Ambalavao.

Le Relais De Mangily

Excellent rapport qualité/prix

Reviewed By tsingymada

Accueil merveilleux. A recommander!

Sanjeela Plage Coco

More than Good

Reviewed By shiraziwine

The bungalows are big enough and clean to enjoy your holiday next to the sea. When you open the door or windows a great cool wind comes to your room. So, if you sleep with open windows it makes it a magical sleeping for you. The French owner is a real good man, he is so helpful. He took us to the city center by his car for free and offered us a real late check out. Price is good and the place is far from the city center but having a good beach
