We have dined two times at Stonewood in the last month after we heard od the former manager's (known to us as "Dave") dismissal and both dining experiences were far below the many, many dining experiences we have had over the last several years. We have been accustom to dining at Stonewood at least twice a month and sometimes more frequently but we will not dine there again any time soon!

I doubt that anyone will complain about the excellence of the food brought to your table. They, however, may be disappointed about the service that is received. For what you pay, and the ambiance you expect superb service. We did not get it. Our steaks were properly prepared as was the salmon. The key lime dessert is excellent.Thank you for your review. While we are pleased that your food was prepared to your liking we are disappointed that our service did not exceed your expectations. Food: We had a large group dinner with a prix fixe menu at Ruthâs Chris. Steak was good, but hit and miss on other items. Stuffed mushroom appetizer: our stuffed mushrooms were cold in the middle. Not cool, but noticeably cold. Out of concern for food safety and health, I informed a waiter. He brought more that were adequately heated, but they tasted only mediocre. The cold center indicates Ruthâs Chris uses frozen stuffed mushrooms. Petit filet: Good petit filet with very good flavor, tender, and cooked to order. Even for a large group., most of the orders for cooking were correct. Sides: family style mashed potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, and creamed spinach. The sautéed mushrooms were great Dessert: pathetic little cheesecake-like item. Took one bite and left the remainder. A real disappointment for dessert. Drinks: One in our party ordered a scotch whiskey. Sheâs an aficionado of Scotch whiskeys. Whatever house Scotch was provided was not drinkable. She returned the Scotch and ordered a Moscow mule. The Moscow Mule tasted like it was made with diet ginger beer. I had an old fashioned and it was decent; not top-shelf by any means, but decent. Service: For a very large group, service was good. Ambiance: Nice, quiet, but not extraordinary. Have eaten at 3 of the 4 steakhouses rated better than Fleming's and can honestly say Fleming's should be rated higher. Service is stellar--professional yet personable and attentive but not intrusive. Steaks are always tender, moist, seasoned and cooked as ordered. Salads are fresh, crisp and tastily dressed. Sides are large and more than enough for 2 people. Wine list is extensive with something to meet anyone's tastes and wallet. We dine here quarterly and don't mind the 45 minute drive from across the Bay as Fleming's never disappoints!

Went to Bern's to celebrate our 38th anniversary. Very disappointing. My wife and I ate there on our honeymoon 38 years ago. I was so impressed. Absolutely wonderful. Over the years, when traveling through Tampa, (over 3 Million airmiles) I would always find a way to take a client and a sales person to dinner at Bern's. Never a disappointment. Now I bring my most important client to dinner and not a single acknowledgement other than a casual "Happy Anniversary". Our steaks were fantastic and the wine was superb. But the overall dining experience was so much less than I expected. The wine cellar tour and kitchen tour were great. As they have been in the past, but for event to not be noticed was a real let down.John D, we are saddened to hear your experience did not meet your expectations for your Anniversary dinner, for we pride ourselves for excellence in both our service and cuisine and always want to acknowledge a special occasion. Given that this restaurant is âall you can eatâ, I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meat served. It was fantastic! Filet, sirloin, lamb, pork... it was all very good. Service was attentive and not intrusive. We had a blast!
